Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Manager, API Category located on-site with a preference of the Titusville New Jersey office, and possible alternate work locations in Zug Switzerland and Beerse Belgium.

There are more than 2,000 employees in Human Resources, Finance and Procurement who work for Johnson & Johnson Global Services in key service centers located in Manila, Suzhou, Prague, Bogota and Tampa, as well as in local country-based hubs.
The Manager, API Category will be responsible for driving value with strategic API and intermediate suppliers to Johnson & Johnson Companies across the assigned portfolio. The individual will be required to develop and manage positive relationships with key suppliers. This position will, in close collaboration with internal partners, develop and implement a multi-year sourcing strategy. The position will be measured based on total value creation: financial performance, quality, service and compliance adherence.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- 30%**:Supplier Relationship Management**. Manage the interactions with the organizations that supply the goods and services to J&J including relationship building, data review and analysis, performance management and development and improvement
- 20%**:Sourcing**. Ensure execution of category strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders for reducing total costs of externally purchased materials, goods and services and improving levels of quality, service and value to the Business
- 20%**:Contracting**. Systematically and efficiently lead contract creation, approval, administration and compliance to improve financial and operational performance and minimize risk
- 10%**:Category Strategy**. Develop and implement the sourcing strategy with internal partners across the portfolio to deliver maximum value for J&J
- 10%**:Business Engagement**. Manage the needs and expectations of the Business to drive satisfaction while ensuring compliance to procurement standards and alignment with procurement strategies
- 10%**: Procurement Strategy & Enablement**. Develop and maintain the strategic direction for the Procurement function, ensure alignment to strategic goals and standards and effectively manage the enabling tools and technology required across the function
**Qualifications**
Education**:
- Bachelor’s degree is required with a preference of study in a technical field (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biological Sciences)
- An advanced degree (Masters, MBA, PhD, etc.) is preferred
**Experience and Skills**:
**Required**:
- Position requires 6-8 years of supply chain experience
- Analytical skills are required to perform data analyses in support of sourcing strategy development
- Negotiation and relationship management experience
- Ability to accomplish projects with partners/contractors through interpersonal skills, leadership style and broad operational expertise
- Demonstrated project management and leadership experience in leading multi-disciplined projects
- Demonstrated ability to make difficult decisions in a timely fashion
- Planning and organizational background
**Preferred**:
- Regulated industry experience and procurement experience preferred
**Other**:
- Up to 15-25% travel is required
