YOUR MISSION

The Brand Activation Manager Belgium will bring to life the local brand believes threw brand building and brand awareness via a brand-strategy using several bar-trade initiatives to inspire, activate & cultivate the brands at the right place at the right time, engage and win share of mind with all of the brands at our target audience and our clients in Belgium.

Among other things, your main tasks will include:
- Brand building in the on-trade (Horeca, Events & Festivals)- tailor-made initiatives at our clients- targeted partnerships (Horeca, Events & Festivals)- POSM management building visibility in the trade- support to on-trade field sales team on brand communication topics, consumer target community activities, etc. (e.g. Havana Club hip hop)- support our sales-team to let them win via L3F.- build and maintain strong relations and community within the industry.- The main focus brands would be Havana Club & Absolut Vodka, with some other focus on brands as well.

LOCATION

This role is a field-based role with your responsibility for the whole country. Our main base is Brussels where the office of Pernod Ricard is based. A significant portion of the role will require time with customers and clients to bring the brand initiatives to life and may require a fair amount of time and traveling all over Belgium, also in evening and weekends.

REPORTING LINES

The Brand Activation Manager will report directly to the Benelux Activation Manager Benelux which is working over both of the countries and is stationed in Amsterdam.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

Regular liaison with the:
- Customers / Consumers / Targeted influencers based upon key strategic brands- Brand Activation Manager Benelux as your day-to-day line manager- On-Trade Sales Teams- Brand-managers- Other brand-activation managers on other brands

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Trade Activation- Working with the local sales and marketing teams, identify and target venues, night-clubs, and events/festivals for further brand development.- Build relationships with the outlet including customer and trade promotions and brand visibility.- Convert target consumers and influencers to the brand through partnerships, collaborations, and activations.- Keep an on-going relationship with key flagship clubs & bars.- Represent the brand at key events.- Support the local team in the retail business where possible, with brand visibility, education and communication.

Building Brand Awareness, brand communities and brand visibility in the field of on-trade- Work via a wishlist of customers to build the brands in the on-trade with in-dept partnerships. Building tailormade visibilities and unique activations, to reach the target audience in these outlets.- Support implementation, tracking and evaluation of planned promotional activity in the trade.- Propose, present and trial new brand initiatives, either international best practice or locally developed.- Provision of market intelligence, investigating, analysing and reporting on key competitor activity and market dynamics to local brand team.- Present the brand to trade and lifestyle press when/where appropriate opportunities arise.- Build a lifestyle community with the brand Havana Club in the clothing store community and HIP/RnB field of target audiences, artists, locations, and concepts.

Brand Education & Mentoring- Inspire and educate in-market sales team on the brand to generate interest and a robust understanding of qualities/characteristic/heritage.- Execute a mentoring programme with key trade customers and in particular bartenders, bar managers and mixologists.- Identify and conduct tastings/education for target groups of consumers / opinion leaders.

Monthly Reporting- Complete monthly report comprising of environment analysis, market trends, brand performance and specific ambassador activities to your line manager- Provide regular best practice sharing.

Specifications

Qualifications, Skills and Experience- A bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business or Marketing.- Familiarity with community & lifestyle- Experience in hospitality or knowledge of the industry is a plus.- A self-confident, outgoing individual who actively enjoys building strong relationships.- A self-starter who takes initiative to make things happen - entrepreneurial, enthusiastic, a ‘can do’ attitude.- Maturity and professionalism - strike an appropriate balance between leveraging conviviality and representing the brand and company in an appropriate manner. You need to adopt a responsible attitude and approach toward alcohol and spread the awareness- A passion for nightlife, lifestyle, and events/festivals, and therefore can inspire and connect with the nightlife community.- Someone flexible who will be able to
