Role Summary:
The Temperature Control Logistics (TCL) organization is responsible for the design, execution, and control strategies of Pfizer Intercompany Operations (IO) freight handling and distribution. The TCL Center of Excellence (COE) Lead is accountable for the development of end-to-end (E2E) business processes and capabilities as part of the Intercompany Operations Quality Management System. The role will stand as a unique and centralized contact for customers, subcontractors, and partners, answering critical supply chain needs, and issuing reports to both external and internal parties. To organize and optimize local, regional and global operations, the role will be in charge of managing key site activities, assigning resources and distributing activities.
This role is responsible for ensuring a consistent E2E Global Supply Chain (GSC) TCL governance, with a focus on driving patient-centric approaches across the global supply chain. The Center of Excellence Lead coordinates with external and internal stakeholders throughout the Global Supply Chain to certify a seamless quality-controlled experience to customers. The function manages a range of global cross-functional initiatives, enhances agility in current TCL operations, seeks to establish new operationally aligned temperature control solutions, and defines standards and best practices. These responsibilities will certify that Pfizer’s products seamlessly reach all global markets. An additional key area of focus for the role will be to lead the continuous improvement and establishment of best practices to contribute to the achievement of a fully autonomous supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Internal & external business challenges; recommends service improvements- Understand and adapt processes based on in-market nuances and when needed enhance global processes’ flexibility to serve market needs- Brings TCL market and customer needs upstream through strong operational coordination and collaboration.- Accountable for consistent GSC governance across markets, entry point of contact for TCL, internal and external capacity building, defining COE resourcing strategy, and coordinating PGS internal and external communication capabilities.- Have a strong operational coordination and collaboration skillset is desired to bring market requirements and customer needs upstream.- TCL COE Lead is responsible for creating and encouraging a highly collaborative environment designed to deliver maximum value and best practices for Pfizer internal and external customers and suppliers. This should be accomplished consistent with strategies established by Intercompany Operations and fully aligned with GSC objectives as well as PGS Value Proposition and Pfizer Zero Defect directives- Responsible for overseeing and developing internal and external Pfizer TCL capability building- Responsible for maintaining strong coordination across all pillars of the organization and streamlining communications across PGS and involved cross functional stakeholders GSC Market and PGS site readiness consultation across various product supply chains
Qualifications:
Must-Have- Bachelor’s degree, minimum of 7 years experiences in Pharmaceutical Logistics, Transportation or Supply Chain management in an international environment, product management, and market facing capabilities.- 3-5+ years of experience working with regulatory bodies (domestic and/or international) and sophisticated knowledge of: Regulatory guidelines around qualifying and utilizing temperature control shipping systems, Health regulatory standards, Governmental agencies governing inbound and outbound trade- Preferred
Preferred- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Packaging or related Engineering discipline.- Experience working with biologics and biosimilar products preferred.
