Together with our media partners, we reach over 1.7 million users across Europe and beyond, every month. With 2,5 million page views and over 1 million unique readers per month, EURACTIV is a leader among online media specialised in EU policy. We address 80% of our readers in their own language.
EURACTIV has an original business model, based on five elements (corporate sponsoring, Euractor membership, advertising, EU projects, and content syndication). It is well funded and the content usage is free.
We are now looking for a
**Translation Trainee (EN to DE) - **Brussels
**(Starting Date: asap)**
**Profile**:
- German mother tongue level
- Background (degree) in translation, politics or journalism with strong language skills in English and German
- Proactive, open-minded, flexible and a team-player
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and dynamic environment
- Highly-motivated and able to face tight deadlines
- Beneficial experience: traineeship at EU institution or similar, editing experience in German, English and French, or work experience in or knowledge of other languages
**Responsibilities include**:
- Translation of articles and subtitling of video content from English to German
- Helping with editing articles and adapting content in line with the editorial strategy
- Communicating with the editorial team on the progress of translations and participating in weekly editorial meetings
