**ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS**
- You are a HOGENT staff member.
- You meet the general conditions of article V.106 of the Flemish ‘Higher Education Codex’ of December 20, 2013.
- You hold a master's degree or one officially leveled, or recognized as equivalent.
- You have at least 4 years of research experience in the context of a completed project.
- You do not currently hold a mandate of head of department or head of programme commission.

**DESCRIPTION OF THE POST**

Five interdisciplinary research clusters form the heart of KASK & Conservatorium's research community. Each of these clusters is headed by a coordinator:

- Archival Sensations
- Negotiating Realities
- Disobedient Practices
- The Body Plural
- The Resonance of Art - The Art of Resonance

**Tasks**

As a cluster coordinator:

- You are responsible for initiating meetings of all researchers of the cluster on a regular basis, and sustaining a dynamic environment in which relevant activities are organized (meetings and encounters, presentation events, research days,) and where junior researchers are coached and supported by more experienced colleagues.
- You represent the research cluster in internal policy-making bodies.
- You develop and sustain networks in the (inter-)national field of art and research, together with the researchers of the cluster.
- You join the other cluster coordinators and the Research Office in developing and supporting the KASK & Conservatorium research culture.
- You support and assist in communication concerning the cluster.
- You manage the cluster’s budget.
- You are the contact person for aspiring researchers wishing to submit a research proposal with the cluster.

**Profile**
- You have experience as a researcher.
- You have experience in formulating research projects.
- You have specific expertise that matches with the content and focus of the relevant cluster.
- You are able to draw on your experience and skills to take on coordinating and organizational tasks in the context of the research cluster.
- Experience in supervising doctoral and/or other researchers is a plus.
- You are familiar with (inter-)national developments concerning the topic(s) of the relevant cluster.
- You have the professional and social skills required to interact in a positive and constructive way with colleagues and supervisors and to communicate clearly, both in person and in writing.
- A committed interest in societal dynamics concerning inclusion and diversity is essential.
- You show commitment to the pedagogical project of KASK & Conservatorium in particular and to HOGENT in general.

**Offer**

The offer concerns a 20% volume for a period of two years, renewable to four years upon positive evaluation.

**_ For statutory members of staff:_**

You take up these tasks within a contractual employment as scientific staff member or as doctor-scientific staff member, with scale to be determined on the basis of a dissertation-based doctoral degree. The 20% volume is taken up as an extension of your current assignment with start no earlier than February 1, 2024.

Or:
In consultation with the head of your department, you can take up these tasks as part of your current assignment, keeping your current salary and holiday conditions.

**_ For contractual members of staff:_**

You take up these tasks within a contractual employment as scientific staff member, as doctor-scientific staff member, or as guest lecturer with research assignment, with scale to be determined on the basis of a dissertation-based doctoral degree. The 20% volume is taken up as an extension of your current assignment with start no earlier than February 1, 2024.

Or:
If you have an indefinite-term employment contract, you can also take up these tasks as part of your current assignment, in consultation with the head of your department, keeping your current salary and holiday conditions.

In addition to public sector seniority, private sector seniority can also be taken into account. It is granted on the basis of employment certificates and after examination of your case. Commuting by public transport is reimbursed within Belgium. If you come by bike, you will receive an allowance.
