Punch Powertrain, a leading global automotive supplier, is seeking a motivated professional to join their team as an Account Manager Automotive. With a strong focus on customer satisfaction and strategic planning, this role presents an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pursue new business opportunities based on the company's strategic customer plan
  • Secure new contracts by obtaining RFQs, sending quote letters, leading negotiations, and convincing customers to award new business to Punch Powertrain
  • Manage customer accounts with a focus on achieving total customer satisfaction while safeguarding Punch interests
  • Serve as the voice of the customer, acting as a key interface between Punch Powertrain and the customer, ensuring seamless communication and coordination
  • Develop and maintain a strong network at all levels, including top management within the customer organization
  • Deliver high-quality sales presentations with commercial and technical expertise
  • Collaborate with internal Sales and Engineering team members to support and coordinate specific tasks; participate in project meetings ensuring commercial actions are initiated and executed effectively
  • Keep the internal Punch Powertrain team informed of the latest customer developments and business opportunities, providing advice on customer targets and competitive price setting
  • Organize, coordinate, and facilitate customer visits

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or University degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written), proficiency in Dutch, French, and/or German is a plus
  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a Sales Engineer or Account Manager in the Automotive industry
  • Passionate about the automotive industry
  • Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Basic understanding of RFIs, RFQs, quotes, and contract negotiations
  • Customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain customer relationships
  • Clear and professional communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Confidence in delivering sales presentations and engaging with customers
  • Ability to promote and explain basic product benefits to customers (training provided)
  • Strong teamwork skills to work across departments
  • Ability to gather and report on market trends and competitor activity
  • Eager to participate in strategic planning and pricing discussions
  • Regular travelling to visit customers is a must
