Als erfgoedmedewerker digitale data sta je in voor volgende taken die focussen op het beheer van digitale collecties en metadata:
Je prospecteert, capteert, registreert, archiveert en ontsluit nieuwe media, waaronder websites en sociale media, born digital publicaties en archief in samenwerking met collega's in de afdeling en andere teams in KADOC. Je maakt daarvoor gebruik van verschillende tools zoals archiefbeheersysteem scopeArchiv, bibliotheeksysteem Alma, databank ODIS, webcrawlers (o.a. Heritrix), e-depot Teneo, enzovoort. Je bent het aanspreekpunt in KADOC voor de archivering van bijzondere dragers en niet gekende bestandsformaten voor zowel erfgoedmedewerkers als voor de technische partners van KADOC.Je overlegt met archiefvormers en hun IT-partners over de archivering van gegevens en volgt gegevensoverdrachten op. Je transformeert metadata, bijvoorbeeld in het kader van AI-projecten of Wikidata imports.Je vertegenwoordigt KADOC in (overleg over) erfgoed- of onderzoeksprojecten en werkt samen met partners aan de uitwerking ervan. Je draagt bij aan de automatisering en innovatie van processen met betrekking tot erfgoedbeheer, zoals de ontwikkeling van de vernieuwde digitale leeszaal en digitaliseringsprocessen. Je hebt oog voor de ontsluitingsmogelijkheden van de collectiegegevens in andere portalen, onderzoeksprojecten, publieksevenementen en communicatie van KADOC en doet suggesties op dat vlak.Je communiceert op gezette tijden over je taken en bent bereid om de opgebouwde kennis te delen binnen KADOC.Je vindt het uitdagend om je te oriënteren en mee op zoek te gaan naar bijkomende bronnen rond een thema dat verband houdt met religie en zingeving in brede zin.Je wordt aangestuurd vanuit de afdeling Behoud en Beheer. Je krijgt opleidingen en begeleiding om je snel in te werken in het bestaande kader, maar hebt ook de ruimte voor eigen initiatieven.KADOC - Documentatie- en Onderzoekscentrum voor Religie, Cultuur en Samenleving van de KU Leuven - is het centrum dat zich toelegt op de veilige bewaring, het optimale beheer, de dynamische ontsluiting en het wetenschappelijk onderzoek van het historische erfgoed dat het resultaat is van de wisselwerking tussen religie, cultuur en samenleving.Voltijdse tewerkstelling voor onbepaalde duur. Je gaat aan de slag in een landelijke erfgoedorganisatie die ingebed is in een academische instelling waar veel kansen liggen. Ben je onmiddellijk inzetbaar in alle opdrachten van deze functie dan start je in graad 6. Beloftevolle kandidaten die nog niet alle opdrachten meteen kunnen opnemen of nog een specifiek opleidingstraject moeten doorlopen starten in graad 5. Graad 7 is uitzonderlijk weggelegd voor kandidaten die reeds van bij de start, omwille van doorgedreven kennis en ervaring, extra verantwoordelijkheden kunnen opnemen. Je geniet van een gunstige verlofregeling bovenop de wettelijke verlof- en feestdagen.Je komt terecht in een jong team, maar wordt goed omkaderd in KADOC. KADOC steunt op de IT-professionals van LIBIS en KU Leuven-ICTS bij de ontwikkeling en het beheer van zijn technische infrastructuur.Je hebt de mogelijkheid om jezelf verder te ontwikkelen op het gebied van nieuwe technieken en automatisering, langetermijnbewaring van verouderde bestandsformaten, dataflows en erfgoedbeheer. Het is mogelijk om één of twee dagen thuis te werken. KADOC hanteert daarvoor een afsprakenkader Telewerk.
