Business Analyst

Many engineers have spent countless hours working to keep these systems running well beyond their intended lifespans. Rapidly occurring paradigm shifts in technology are exceedingly difficult to stay in step with and often due to limited bandwidth it can be difficult to implement the changes that are necessary to stay at least in the same race as everyone else.

The Internal Moody's title for this role is an Associate Director - Quality Assurance Manager.

**Responsibilities**:

- Direct line manager to several team members.
- Likely to also lead a stream or a project. If so, ensure the timely release of high-quality deliverables from the stream/project and work with other QAs and key stakeholders to ensure coverage for each software release.
- Recruit, on board and develop staff.
- Set individual and team objectives, evaluate and manage performance and create professional development plans.
- Provide detailed status reports, metrics and execution dashboards.
- Lead the implementation of risk-based testing to align the testing effort with business risks/complexities.
- Actively manage testing project risks and communicate mitigation options to business/engineering stakeholders.
- BS or Higher in Computer Science or related technical field required.
- Experience with Data practices and technologies including data lake, data warehousing, data integration patterns (ETL, services, messaging), analytics and business intelligence.
- Open-source frameworks and developing native Cloud solutions.
- Knowledge of SQL, Python and/or Java for serverless architecture in AWS
- Experience with service-based architectures, such as microservices.
- Experience with full Api lifecycle management with tools like Apigee, Kong, AWS API Gateway, Swagger Hub
- Working knowledge of integration patterns and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Lean Startup, XP) and multi-functional teams (Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers, Designers, Data Analysts)
- Innovative approach to solving complex issues and problems.
- 5+ years of core experience in enterprise grade big data cloud programs
- Industry Certification in AWS is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, the ability to translate technical concepts to business concepts and vice versa
- Client focused, proactive, and results oriented
