Success of Engineering Projects mostly relies on key individuals demonstrating Intrapreneurial Leadership, and the best way to develop these skills is through hands-on consulting roles—working alongside established intrapreneurs in international companies, contributing to managing stakeholders' engagement, workflows' reliability, or solutions' sustainability.

If a schedule fails, even the most advanced infrastructure projects collapse into delays, cost overruns, and broken trust—something you may already know well as a specialist tasked with protecting projects against these risks.

We would therefore welcome you at AETHER to support Intrapreneurial Projects, as a medior Scheduling Officer:
The scope, here, is to strengthen the management of large-scale energy infrastructure programs, ensuring their timely, reliable, and sustainable execution.

The Key responsibilities expected from our consultant might include:
Support projects through high-quality and detail-oriented execution (provide, define, document, implement, etc.)
- Define/validate/challenge the schedule management approach, taking into account enterprise environmental factors and other program-specific constraints or requirements.
- Define the approach in collaboration with the Program Managers and the PM Officer.
- Establish a framework for managing schedules: definition of the schedule levels, schedule calendars, how to measure progress, definition of baselines and changes, etc.
- Elaborate the scheduling requirements to be imposed to the EPC contractors (top-level WBS, schedule configuration, etc.).
- Establish the methodology for consolidating contractors’ schedules (and progress updates) into the program schedule(s).
- Document the schedule management approach in the Schedule Management Plan.
- Set up the structure in the scheduling tool (MSP and Primavera P6).
- Gather schedule contents from the stakeholders.
- Gather scheduling information from the program team.
- Gather the EPC contractors’ schedules and consolidate into the program schedule.
- Properly document the change analysis, e.g. through creating simulation versions of the program schedule.
- Definition of interface milestones and tasks in line with the interface management approach (interface register).
- Suggest improvements on the schedule management methodology, update the existing Schedule Management Plan and implementation when needed.

Support projects with rational and data-driven assessments regarding costs, quality, and timelines (identify, monitor, evaluate, analyze, validate, etc.)
- Participate in the elaboration of a project Work Breakdown Structure, or challenge the existing program Work Breakdown Structure, to ensure a good structure upon which the program schedule/budget can be constructed.
- Procurement/Contract Management: synchronization between schedule and budget planning, as well as payment milestones.
- Oversee interfacing between stakeholders’ input schedules: ensure that tasks are correctly linked between the stakeholders.
- Continuously challenge the scheduling inputs.
- Periodically gather progress information from the involved stakeholders.
- Ensure that progress information is as factual as possible, to avoid bias.
- As part of the change control process, perform schedule analysis for requested changes to the program.
- Perform Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis in close cooperation with the Risk Manager.

Support projects by facilitating communication and reporting between stakeholders (manage, coordinate, communicate, coach, train, etc.)
- Assist two Program Managers and an Officer and be in charge of the schedule management of programs from design, construction till the start of commercial operations.
- Organizing the necessary meetings to gather the contents.
- Manage program calendars and baselines.
- In collaboration with the PM Officer, define schedule reporting as part of the program reporting.
- Communicate and report on schedule risks to the Risk Manager.

The experience we are actively looking for:

- Strong expertise of MS office, specifically MS Project (or Primavera P6).
- Proven experience in infrastructure projects (engineering, construction).
- Familiarity with high-voltage transmission or offshore projects is an asset.
- Knowledge of PMI/PMBOK project management standards.
- Fluency in **Dutch**and **French**is required.
- Skilled in schedule management techniques and methodologies.
- Around 5 years in a similar role (the role won't fit a senior profile)
- Strong ability to perform data-driven analysis and translate into clear conclusions.
- Advanced communication skills, proactive and collaborative mindset.
- Capacity to gather and challenge scheduling inputs with interviewing techniques.
- Immediate availability and presence in Belgium are preferred.
