Accounting Manager

The Brussels, Belgium facility is Catalent’s flagship European syringe filling facility. With more than 70 years of drug product manufacturing experience in biologics and sterile injectables, we have the expertise, processes, and resources to meet all of your syringe filling and secondary packaging needs. With experts in technology transfer, scale-up and life-cycle management, Catalent Brussels’ has one of the largest syringe filling capacities in Europe at over 175 million units annually, over 500 FTEs and annual sales of approximately $90m.

**The Role**
- The Accounting manager reports into the site Finance Director and has two direct reports (AR Accountant, AP Accountant).
- Prepare and load payroll in JD Edwards
- Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliation.
- Monitor month-end closing in close collaboration with the controlling team (2 FTEs).
- Prepare corporate reporting packs.
- Prepare/review VAT, intra-stat, corporate tax, and statutory reporting.
- Review inter-company confirmations.
- Maintain a strong internal controls environment to comply with the Sarbanes Oxley Act and to safeguard company's assets.
- Support the coordination & implementation of Group's Finance policies & procedures.
- Participate actively to an ERP deployment (SAP).
- Act as a Business partner.
- Implement & improve current accounting processes (AP invoice approvals, goods/service receipt responsibilities).
- Lead the accounting team (2 FTEs’s) & Ensure individual development plan of his/her team member is in place and followed.
- Bachelor or Master degree in finance/accounting.
- Experience in a similar role, min 5 years
- Has a strong knowledge of local Belgian GAAP. Knowledge of US GAAP (or IFRS) is an advantage
- Has an IT mindset.
- SAP Knowledge is a +
- Speaks fluently English and French. Dutch is an asset.
