Head of Finance

Optimile offers a white label charge point operator (CPO) and mobility service provider (MSP) platform for electric vehicles and charging infrastructure to professional customers worldwide. Optimile is based in Ghent, Belgium. We operate in seven countries across 213.000 charging points, of which 11.000 with our own label. The shareholders of Optimile are BNP Paribas Fortis and AG Insurance.

To support our fast growth, we are looking for an experienced Head of Finance to strengthen our team.

**Role**
We are looking for someone who takes ownership, who is happy with figures and who has strong organisational skills. You can work independently and have a great sense of responsibility. With your critical mind and analytical skills you will bring insights and support the further growth of the company. In this role, you will be responsible for the Financial Department within Optimile, report directly to the CEO and act as a member of the Management Team.

**Responsibilities**
- Financial planning and analysis;
- Development and implementation of financial strategies and plans to support the company's goals and objectives;
- Conducting financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting to optimize financial performance, and reporting to the board of directors;
- Providing regular reports and recommendations to the CEO and Management Team based on financial analysis;
- Management of financial operations;
- Management of a small team to handle day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and closing;
- Oversight of the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations, and management of the external audit process;
- Maintainment and improvement of financial controls and processes to mitigate risk and ensure operational efficiency;
- Follow-up of communications and agreements with the banks;
- Strategic decision support;
- Collaboration with the CEO and Management Team to develop and execute strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives;
- Assessment of the financial feasibility of new initiatives, projects, and investments;
- Advising voice in commercial pricing.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree is highly desirable;
- Proven experience in audit or a controlling role (experience with SaaS is a plus);
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles, practices, and regulations;
- Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights;
- Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting;
- Excellent leadership and people management skills;
- Outstanding communication and presentation abilities;
- Attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and compliance;
- You are not afraid to take on responsibility;
- You are a communicative, analytical and structured person;
- You are integer and able to deal with confidential information;
- You are stress resistant, hands-on and precise;
- You have an excellent knowledge of Excel and affinity with processes and systems (Exact, Power BI, );
- Knowledge of the Belgian fiscal and tax legislation is a plus;
- You are fluent in Dutch and English (both written and spoken).
