We want you to develop your skills, expand your knowledge and be proud of your work. **Job Purpose**: The EMIA Transportation Specialist will steer overall logistics transportation, driving constant improvements to the way we serve our customers by steering and improving transportation and warehouse process activities in line with Sales requirements and the overall company strategy, aligned with different stakeholders within LSCM and other functions. This role will drive the EMIA transportation efficiency, bring control to the carrier performance & freight cost management. He/She will work in close collaboration with the Markets, Local transportation team and Procurement, making sure continuous improvement is a point of focus & is correctly driven over the network. He/she will as well lead and support project throughout the network to bring improvement, digitalized and automatized the transportation or logistics processes. **Responsibilities**: **Transportation planning activity**: - Support day to day business with local transport entities and ensure coordination between transport entities & LSCM. - Manage collaboration with transporter as well as freight forwarder. Support the business changes, potential modifications of services, transporters/freight forwarders integration. Evaluate cost impact of different changes & consequences on our current logistics set-up - Measure & monitor carrier performance management. Implement PDCA & continuous improvement processes in collaboration with local teams and transporters to steer transporters’ performance. - Ensure of European transportation collaboration, KPI follow up & empowerment of responsibility in the region - Control the invoicing process, coordinate with user and tool provider to bring control on freight - Document transport process & activity to bring uniformity over the network - Manage visibility and understanding of the different transport interfaces as well as support towards internal & external users - Stay aware of change in legislation towards customs, documentation or any topic which could impact transportation. Pro-actively prepare change & make those clear to the full network - Bring sustainability into transportation processes, look at opportunities and trend in the market which could be implemented & support Bridgestone environmental vision **Project Management**: - Drive Transport related projects within EMIA, from beginning till end. Identify potential opportunities, prepare and get business cases approved, setup a project structure to drive execution, follow up on the expected benefits - Participate to projects led by other services, within LSCM, or departments as representative of the function and bringing expertise on transportation process. - Support and coordinate tenders related to Logistics; prepare required specifications for Procurement Team, control timelines, scope and cost, update management on progress and potential risk vs. initial plan and budget. - Support Supplier Relation Management implementation in partnership with procurement and local entities.
