**Functieomschrijving**
Onze klant, gelegen te Gent, is een toonaangevend biotechbedrijf dat biologische bestrijdingsmiddelen en biostimulerende producten ontwikkelt op basis van micro-organismen. Om hun groeiende R&D-activiteiten te ondersteunen, zoeken ze een ervaren en visionaire Head of Analytical Chemistry die wetenschap, strategie en leiderschap perfect weet te combineren.

**Verantwoordelijkheden**

- Als Hoofd Analytisch Chemicus ben jij de drijvende kracht achter het analytisch team.
- Je leidt een groep getalenteerde chemici, zorgt voor wetenschappelijke excellentie en tilt de analytische capaciteiten van het bedrijf naar een hoger niveau.
- Je bent niet alleen een expert in je vakgebied, maar ook een inspirerende coach die samenwerking, kwaliteit en innovatie stimuleert.
- Leiden en inspireren: Je geeft richting aan het analytisch team, voert coachende gesprekken, stimuleert groei en zorgt voor een positieve, resultaatgerichte werkomgeving.
- Organiseren en optimaliseren: Je ontwikkelt efficiënte workflows, beheert prioriteiten en middelen, en garandeert een vlotte uitvoering van projecten.
- Wetenschappelijke uitmuntendheid: Je bewaakt de kwaliteit van analyses, implementeert best practices en zorgt dat alle activiteiten voldoen aan de hoogste kwaliteits
- en veiligheidsnormen.
- Samenwerken en communiceren: Je fungeert als het centrale aanspreekpunt voor analytisch-chemische expertise en vertaalt complexe data naar duidelijke, bruikbare inzichten voor diverse stakeholders.
- Strategisch bijdragen: Je verbindt de analytische strategie met de bredere bedrijfsdoelen en denkt actief mee over innovatie, procesverbetering en toekomstgerichte oplossingen.

**Profiel**

- Een doctoraat in analytische chemie, scheikunde of een verwante richting
- Minstens 5 jaar ervaring in een analytisch-chemische functie in de industrie
- Minstens 2 jaar leidinggevende ervaring binnen een technisch of wetenschappelijk team
- Grondige kennis van analytische technieken en instrumentatie
- Een sterk gevoel voor kwaliteit, organisatie en samenwerking
- Uitstekende communicatieve vaardigheden - je weet complexe data helder en overtuigend te brengen
- Een analytische denker met een passie voor wetenschap én mensen.
- Je hebt de technische expertise, maar ook de visie om richting te geven aan een team en de brug te slaan tussen onderzoek, ontwikkeling en bedrijfsstrategie.
