Field Technician Metering Operations

For our office located in Anderlecht (see the map here) we’re looking for a Field Technician Metering Operations (M/F/x).

Metering Operations is the operations unit within Fluxys Belgium's Metering & Laboratory Department. We provide a service tailored to the needs of our internal and external customers in order to guarantee the quality and availability of data relating to the measured quantities of natural gas at the connection and interconnection points of our network. Metering Operations is also affected by the energy transition and will soon be involved in the metering of new gases (H2, CO2). We maintain and develop a high level of technical and metrological expertise and are actively engaged in our own digital transformation, all within a small team of 15 people.

**Your**
**responsibilities**:

- After an initial training period, you will be responsible for the metrological and technical monitoring of around 50 receiving stations (industrial customers, public distribution or power plants)
- Within the ISO 17020-accredited body, you will carry out on-site metrological inspections, write detailed reports and follow up on the corrective actions to be implemented
- You will troubleshoot and maintain on-site telemetering systems to ensure equipment and data availability
- You will oversee your customers remotely and verify, correct and validate data (volume, energy, gas quality, etc.) according to set deadlines
- You will provide technical and administrative support to the customers within your remit, as well as to internal customers (sales department, dispatching, etc.)
- You will participate in the energy transition and help to develop your own role with a focus on continuous improvement

To succeed in this role, you will need:

- A** bachelor**'s degree in **electromechanics, electronics or automation**:

- An ability to configure programs and **knowledge of PLCs**:

- An interest in digital transformation and in developing your skills in this area
- The ability to work in a team as well as independently
- A commitment to high-quality work and due regard for safety
- **Good communication skills and customer focus**:

- The ability to perform a variety of tasks and evolve in a changing environment
- Fluency in Dutch and a good working command of French or English
