A Technical Director at ST Engineering iDirect works with the continuous integration and development engineering teams to boost the overall organizational performance of iDirect’s development operations.

**Responsibilities**:
**Main Responsibilities**
- Create and execute engineering plan.
- Instill a culture of collaborative engineering.
- Define goals and priorities for team members and review their performance.
- Keep Project Managers well informed of status of development effort and serve as liaison between engineering staff and Project Manager.
- Ensure technical teams are contributing to our code library.
- Communicate and enforce iDirect engineering process.
- Mentor managers and developers of varying seniority and expertise.
- Consistently deliver high-quality services to our technical support team.
- Inspire coworkers to attain goals and pursue excellence.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change.
- Remain on the forefront of emerging industry practices.
- Facilitate effective team interaction.
- Acknowledge and appreciate each team member's contributions.
- Keep track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with team members.
- Identify trainings and seminars for each team member.
- Plan and coordinate team building and socializing events.

Qualifications:
**Your profile and qualifications**
- 10+ years of progressive software and network engineering experience, with 5 or more years in management positions. Telecommunications (Land, Cellular or Satellite) and embedded systems experience a plus
- Successful background in leading organizations using Agile methodology and building an organization to scale to meet the needs of a growing market
- Succesful experience with implementation of agile transformation framework and change management
- Experience with successful implementation or operation development environment based on Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Test, Continuous Deployment.
- Experience leading matrixed and multi-location engineering organizations; international experience preferred
- Good knowledge of large software systems integrations, including well-defined APIs and associated SDKs
- Competent in electronic hardware and software design and development with experience with CI/CD implementation
- Appreciation for a variety of technical and development disciplines and the roles they play in product development
- Skilled in detecting and addressing ineffective, under-skilled, and/or underperforming resources
- Strong management, mentoring, relationship management, strategy development, project management, problem solving and change management skills.
- Leadership skills to help the team navigate through a dynamic industry and the ability to demonstrate grace under fire
- Demonstrated internal and external strong oral and written communication skills. This role requires frequent communication with high-profile customers. Thus, communication must be impeccable.
