We are hiring for one of our clients an international financial Institution based in Brussels; a Senior User Experience (UX) designer/analyst.
**Context**:
**User-Centric Approach**:
- Collaborate closely with product owners and managers to deeply understand user needs and desires.
- Leverage this insight to define meaningful and impactful product features.
**Design Excellence**:
- Employ design thinking principles to unlock creative solutions.
**Key Activities**:
**User Needs Analysis**:
- Conduct thorough user interviews, contextual inquiries, and workshops to deeply understand user requirements.
- Synthesize insights from these interactions to inform product design decisions.
**User Personas**:
- Create and meticulously document user personas. These personas serve as archetypes, representing the diverse user base.
**Design Thinking and Visualization**:
- Develop storyboards, user journeys, and flow diagrams to visualize the end-to-end user experience.
- Dive into conceptual modeling and information architecture, especially within the context of complex software products.
**Interaction Design and UI Excellence**:
- Craft interaction designs that seamlessly guide users through software interfaces.
**Design Workshops and Ideation**:
- Facilitate design thinking workshops, fostering collaboration and creativity within cross-functional teams.
- Generate breakthrough ideas by encouraging diverse perspectives.
**Prototyping and Specification**:
- Bring concepts to life through mock-ups and prototypes using tools like Figma.
- Document precise front-end specifications, ensuring seamless implementation.
**Usability Testing and Refinement**:
- Prepare and conduct usability tests, analyzing results to refine designs iteratively.
- Perform product design reviews and heuristic evaluations to enhance usability.
**Effective Communication**:
- Present compelling solutions and concepts, persuading stakeholders of their value.
**Key factors that will contribute to your success**
- **Experience**: A minimum of **6 years** in UX roles, demonstrating a strong track record in software product UX design.
- **Empathy**: Your keen observation of human behavior and innate empathy set you apart.
- **Interpersonal Skills**: You excel at establishing and coordinating relationships with both business and IT units. You confidently lead UX discussions and communicate outcomes.
- **Design Thinking**: Your familiarity with Design Thinking methods enhances your problem-solving abilities.
- **Business Analytical Skills**: Quickly grasping complex business contexts and analyzing customer requirements is your forte.
- **Technical Acumen**: You understand systems and can converse fluently in engineers’ language.
- **Language Proficiency**: Excellent written and spoken English is essential.
- **Financial Software Experience**: Prior exposure to financial software product design is advantageous.
- **Product Management Background**: General software product management experience adds value.
