**Position**:

**Tasks and Responsibilities**:

- Provide IT Service Desk support in all aspects of the users’ hardware, software, and networking needs (installation, repair, troubleshooting, inventory, user support, and training)
- Maintain and follow up on the IT infrastructure inventory
- Participate in the procurements procedures
- Support the onboarding and offboarding of Staff
- Set up individual IT infrastructure (computers/telephones, peripherals, network cabling).

After a period of training / mentoring:

- Manage a heterogeneous IT infrastructure (Linux, FreeBSD, macOS and Windows workstations and servers)
- Support a variety of Open Source technologies (XEN, Docker, Zimbra, Samba, Asterisk, OpenZFS, Nagios, ownCloud)
- Maintain the Company network infrastructure
- Operate, verify and improve backup and disaster recovery procedures
- Provide occasionally on-site support to the IT infrastructure at the Noordwijk office (the Netherlands).

**Skills and Experience**:

- Highly motivated with the right dose of enthusiasm and eagerness to learn
- Strong customer/user‐service orientation and affinity with Open Source software
- Familiarity with Linux, Windows and MacOS
- Knowledge of and experience with:

- TCP/IP network administration/troubleshooting
- Scripting language (e.g. Bash, Python, PHP)
- Working with Free and Open Source Software (FOSS), including Postfix, BIND, ISC DHCP, NFS, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Apache, NGINX
- Good communication in English, both spoken and written
