For our Bitumen and Wax business in Wavre (Business Unit Alphamin) we are seeking a motivated Account Manager.

Although we are part of one of the largest distributors in the world, we operate as a small, flexible unit offering customer-oriented solutions. Within Brenntag, we are a specialized team with a clear focus on waxes, coatings & adhesives, polymers and bitumen modifiers. From our office and laboratory in Wavre, we support customers worldwide - with team members spread across Europe and the US - offering personalized service and customized solutions that truly address our customers' specific needs.
- Your Responsibility
- As an Account Manager you are responsible for:
- Promoting and selling Alphamin's specialty products: bitumen, polymers, waxes, coatings and adhesives- Manage the export of the specialty products to Europe, with a focus on the region assigned to you- Maintaining and expanding the customer base for entire products portfolio- Visiting customers, both at home and abroad- Managing your own calendar and scheduling appointments- The management of the entire sales administration: drawing up sales reports, executing sales actions, drawing up quotations, etc.- Conducting the commercial negotiations and the correct handling from the order intake to the final delivery- The collaboration and feedback to R&D- The report to the Business Manager

Your Profile- Technical background is a must: you have a bachelor and/ or master's degree in chemistry or chemical engineering.- You have a proven commercial work experience in the field of Waxes, Coatings & Adhesives, Polymers and Bitumen- You can convert your technical knowledge into commercial success. You are a strong negotiator, sales-driven, ambitious but also hands-on when looking for creative solutions for your customers. You closely follow up your customers from order intake to final delivery.- You have a critical mind and like to learn more about the technical aspects of our product range and the processes in which they are used. You like to work together with R&D and customers’ technical team.- You are a team player and can also work independently, you have good communication skills, self-starter, creative and well organized to drive projects forward successfully- You speak and write fluent English, plus preferably one or more of the following languages: German, French, Spanish or Dutch.- You are willing to travel regularly (up to 30% in Europe).
