VIABUILD Group is a leading multidisciplinary Belgian contractor for a wide range of public and private construction works. The group is owned 50/50 by the Vanhaeren and Deckx families, whose companies merged in 2013. The group headquarters are in Puurs-Sint-Amands, employing about 560 people and generating about 190 Mio € revenues. They are currently mainly active in Belgium, but already have a few international projects in Ghana, Africa, and in Germany, where they are constructing data centers. VIABUILD is a growing company and has ambitions to generate 300 Mio € revenues by 2030 and to expand in Belgium as well as into international markets.

**Role**:

- As Project Director, you will be responsible to lead the datacenter projects in a B2B market.
- You report to the International COO, a member of the executive committee.
- You will determine and guard the commercial contract strategy with the end client.
- You will guarantee that the projects are executed and delivered following the strategy: on time and within the budget, assuring safety, quality and profitability.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- You will, together with the team, develop and execute a commercial strategy to retrieve any claims for additional cost as well as maximize opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Your main responsibility is to manage all the different stakeholders: VIABUILD project leaders, sub-contractors and the end client. You can deliver clear messages in a diplomatic manner. You are solution oriented and driven by results.
- You are end responsible for the Data Center projects.
- You guarantee a high-quality technical, administrative, financial and commercial follow-up of the projects.
- As an authentic leader and people manager, you have excellent connecting communication and stakeholder management skills, and you can coach and motivate your team. You give people responsibilities and trust them to fulfill their mandate. You can think out of the box.
- You will lead and coach the team that is responsible for the execution on site, including change management, pre-construction, work preparation, operations, quality, safety and administration. In total this will be a team of 30 people.
- You are responsible for strict compliance with safety and environmental regulations on site.
- You monitor the high-quality delivery of the end result.
- You monitor the budgets in order to complete the project optimally within the set deadlines and budgets.

**Profile**:

- You have a master diploma, ideally in civil engineering (construction).
- You have a minimum of 10 years’ experience as a project director in the construction industry, by preference in building works.
- You have experience managing large budgets and complex projects.
- You are flexible and able to deal with a broad range of responsibilities.
- You are results-oriented with an eye for efficiency.
- You pay attention to detail.
- You are diplomatic and have excellent connective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- You can remain neutral and to keep the best interest of the total project in mind, while guarding the contract agreements.
- As an authentic leader, you can coach and motivate your team, you give them trust and responsibilities.
- You are perfect bilingual Dutch / English.
