**Skills, knowledge, experience required**:
- A Bachelor (or equivalent) degree in accountancy and finance;
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in finance and accountancy;
- Knowledge of:
- Accounting software such as Oracle R12 E-Business Standard Benchmark or Oracle PeopleSoft;
- Two NATO official languages - French and English but particularly English as this is the working language of NCIA;
- Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel;
- International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS);
- Being hands on, flexible, confidentiality, team player, task/deadline oriented and customer focused;
- Paying attention to details.
**Duties/role**:
- Booking all the supplier invoices into the accounting software;
- Preparing the bookings for the vendor invoices to be received;
- Reviewing pending invoices in the accounting software and hasten;
- Approving (where delegated) supplier/vendor invoices;
- Preparing invoices for payment batch execution by Treasury and Disbursing;
- Running reports such as aging lists in order to check all the outstanding payments to vendors;
- Supporting business for questions ad hoc;
- Providing finance point of contact between suppliers and the business, when needed;
- Assisting with accruals information;
- Reviewing, approving if delegated, and booking the intercompany invoices;
- Preparing the month end closing files for AP including reconciliation.
