This is an exciting position that will provide you with exposure to an established, ambitious and rapidly growing organization, European & Global Segments. This role sits within the EGS Strategy team and will have two main responsibilities: and (1) Support the strategy team on designing and leading key strategic initiatives and 2) directly support the CEO of Cigna Europe & Global Segments in the areas of senior leadership team effectiveness and strategic communication.
The EGS Strategy team oversees the overall strategy of the business and manages all activities linked to key strategic growth initiatives (from concept to implementation), strategic planning and execution oversight, market assessments and entry, M&A and market intelligence.
**Strategy Job Description**:
Conceptualize new strategic initiatives, lead developments and create business cases to support the strategic initiatives across our three strategic pillars: Growth, Whole Health and Affordability
Design, plan, coordinate, execute and monitor strategic projects across an international context and across our key segments
Lead and produce independent research, including providing statistical and analysis to support our overall growth strategy
Support market entry assessment work, portfolio management and assessments and pursue M&A opportunities
Learn to use all insight and market research tools offered by the strategy team and be a point of contact for questions from internal stakeholders
**CEO Office Job Description**:
Development of tools and mechanism to improve Senior Leadership Team effectiveness and optimize performance
Coordination of the Senior Leadership Team sessions (agenda setting, managing content distribution, managing action logs and follow-ups)
Coordination of business review and strategic presentations to senior Enterprise, IM leaders and key external stakeholders
Coordinate and ensure successful organisation wide leadership and town hall sessions
Support organisational effectiveness and improvement programs, where necessary
**Job Requirement**:
University graduate, or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years work experience in any of the following areas: consulting, strategy consulting, commercial roles within insurance or M&A
4 years + experience and excellent understanding of insurance, healthcare and/or health services industry
Up to date on current affairs, with a strong grasp of competition, markets, regulatory, demographic and political trends that could shape our business and industry over time
Strong project management skills with experience in cross-functional teams and ability to handle multiple priorities
Excellent communicator and ability to build rapport quickly
Good verbal and written business English and a second language preferred
Able to travel extensively on projects, due diligence, integrations or to meet and liaise with potential partners and clients
Strong analytic skills (financial, planning, operational)
Demonstrated drive to solve problems in a matrix team environment and leading with high energy and a positive attitude
