Global Communication Lead

We are looking for a **Global Communication Lead - Immunology** who is **passionate**, **creative and has an entrepreneurial mindset **to join our **Global Corporate Communication** team, based in our **Slough** office in **United Kingdom or **in our** Brussels **office in** Belgium**.

**What you’ll do**
- Work with Leadership Team(s) to develop and execute a corporate communications program, based on company goals and strategy, that enhances the perception and visibility of UCB Immunology both externally and internally
- Lead the execution of public relations and reputation management campaigns to ensure that stakeholders understand UCB’s corporate strategy and synergize communications across multiple channels
- Serve as communications counselor to senior leadership on specific external communications activities including, but not limited to media interviews, conference speaking and thought leadership opportunities, and communications materials development. This includes preparing corporate spokespeople for media interviews and external presentations and ensuring all presentation materials are reviewed and approved in advance.
- Lead the development of a broad spectrum of corporate messaging and communications materials, including press releases, Q&A documents, presentations, fact sheets, video scripts, speeches, and briefing documents
- Lead digital/social media strategy, including content ownership; ensure alignment with the Company’s business objectives
- Measure and evaluate success against communications goals and oversee biannual metrics reports and dashboards
- Oversee large budgets and manage external agency partners and vendors
- Manage UCB’s internal review process, ensuring deadlines are met and that materials reflect review committee feedback
- Cultivate and maintain scientific knowledge of brand and disease area in which work is focused; develop understanding of health, science, and policy-related issues impacting the assigned therapeutic area.
- Identify opportunities to promote corporate/brand activities externally and internally. Monitor for current events and ensure appropriate identification of threats and opportunities; assist with company response, if needed.
- Ensure that all communications programs/ deliverables are compliant and ethical
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

**Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following experience and skills**
- Seasoned communications professional with extensive experience (10+) in the pharmaceutical industry (ideally with some time spent in agency).
- Experience in global pharma communications, including launch communications, data and regulatory communications, disease state and patient education programs.
- Proven ability to provide counsel and guidance to senior management (C-Suite)
- Must be able to work on flexible schedule as the business requires including variable travel up to 30%.
- Track record of producing international and national coverage and engaging digital content.
- Knowledgeable of the US and European regulatory and compliance environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English), presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in successfully managing multiple projects with agency partners, on time and on budget.
- Knowledge and practice in using and promoting the use of new communication tools such as AI
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a dynamic, creative and fast-paced environment.
