Senior Claims Management Specialist

To respond to Business growth and the creation of a new spin off entity, the Deminor Group is looking for a talented **Senior Claims Management Specialist**to act as the operational backbone of our claims management service, providing support to claimants throughout their claim lifecycle. This claimant-facing role combines excellent attention to detail with strong communication skills to ensure claimants receive timely, accurate assistance while navigating the legal claims process. The role is critical to link claimants, legal teams, and our platform, and is instrumental in delivering a seamless claims experience that differentiates our service in the legal technology marketplace.
Some of the key responsibilities are outlined below:
**Claimant Onboarding & Case Initiation**
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new claimants, guiding them through the initial onboarding process
- Conduct comprehensive onboarding meetings to gather essential claim information and supporting documentation
- Verify claimants identity and eligibility according to case criteria and compliance requirements
- Create and configure new claim profiles within our proprietary claims management platform
- Explain the claims process, timeline expectations, and next steps in clear, accessible language
- Establish relationships with claimants, building trust and confidence in our claims management service
**Claims Administration & Processing**
- Manage the day-to-day operational activities for assigned claims (internal to the Deminor Group or external), ensuring all actions are properly documented
- Process and organise incoming claim documentation, ensuring completeness and proper classification
- Coordinate with internal/ external stakeholders to ensure all claim requirements are fulfilled within required timelines
- Track claim status and progression through established workflows and milestone tracking
- Identify and escalate potential issues or bottlenecks that could impact claim processing
- Maintain detailed electronic claim files with comprehensive documentation and correspondence history
**Claimant Communication & Support**
- Provide regular status updates to claimants in their preferred language (English, Dutch, Spanish, Italian or French)
- Respond promptly to claimant inquiries, maintaining our service standard for communication timeliness
- Guide claimants through required actions, explaining legal requirements in accessible terms
- Gather additional information or documentation from claimants as needed during the claims process
**Platform Use & Data Management**
- Use our claims management platform effectively to track, update, and manage claim information
- Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of all claim-related information within the system
- Document all claimant interactions and claim activities within the appropriate platform modules
- Generate client-specific reports and updates using platform reporting capabilities
**Team Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing**
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders involved in claim resolution
- Participate in regular case review meetings to discuss claim status and address potential challenges
- Share best practices and document standardised processes within the Operations team to drive efficiency
- Assist in training new team members on operational procedures and platform functionality
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant legal processes and requirements for different claim types
**About you**:
We think that to be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate many of the following attributes and skills:
- Previous experience in claims management acquired in the insurance or financial services sector is essential
- Excellent attention to details and an outstanding organisation skills
- Solid experience dealings with Claims Management Software
- Highly collaborative, flexible, and adaptable
- Strong communication abilities
- 5+ years of experience in similar roles
- Excellent abilities of the Microsoft office suite: Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Comfortable with technology platforms and data management systems
- Excellent command of English is required and / or ability to speak either French, Italian, Spanish, German or Dutch would be ideal
- Rigorous mindset combined with excellent time management and intellectual curiosity
- Capacity to work under tight deadlines and pro-active
- Professional demeanor with ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
