Global IT Workplace and User Experience Manager

As a **Global IT Workplace and User Experience Manager **, you are responsible to reimagine the employee experience, including space management, finding, and implementing new tech and tools, and helping employees adjust to those changes. Also tasked with making the employee experience equal across in-office and remote working. As a member of the IT technology leadership team, you contribute globally to the development and execution of the Technology strategy and you ensure its alignment with the enterprise's IT and business strategy and the delivery of capabilities required to achieve business success. In this position, you have Global leadership responsibility, supporting North America, Europe, and additional regions across all Carmeuse locations. **Your responsibilities**: - You foster a business-oriented culture and mindset driven by continual service improvement techniques. - You lead the development of the Workplace aspects of the Technology strategy and roadmap and ensure its integration with the broader IT and enterprise strategic plans. - You build and maintain relationships with other IT leaders to develop a clear understanding of business needs; you ensure cost-effective solutions are in place to meet those needs; you ensure cost-effective solutions are in place to meet those needs and is able to respond with agility to changing business priorities. - You develop and control the Workplace annual operating and capital expenditure budget for IT Technology and manages expenses to stay within plan. - You leverage influencing and negotiation skills across IT and the enterprise to enable cost effective and innovative shared solutions in achievement of business goals. - You participate in the assessment of external and internal Workplace capabilities required to achieve desired business goals. - You maintain current on new technologies and platforms; and provide direction on what emerging Workplace and End User Experience technologies should be introduced, integrated, and assimilated. - You manage the portfolio of End User assets and services from purchase or adoption through retirement. - You lead IT Workplace engineering's involvement in the IT organization's innovation efforts and its role in experimenting with new solutions to take advantage of business opportunities. - You provide oversight for the design and development of IT Workplace platforms that fulfill the needs of the business. - You support the sourcing strategy; and provide oversight for vendor and partner relationship management. - You work closely with HR to execute a "people strategy" that aligns with the business and IT strategy. Continually looking for leading-edge and innovative solutions to the recruitment, development and retention of the Workplace engineering workforce. - You work with Technology leadership team to forecast future skills needs to acquire and develop the workforce with the appropriate mix of business knowledge, technical skills and competencies. - You work toward a balance between growing the agility required to achieve digital business objectives and ensuring the core IT functions are reliable, stable and efficient. - You ensure to drive innovation across User-Centered Design practice. - When required for Projects and/or critical incidents, you serve as a ‘working Manager’ fulfilling roles as a Project Manager, Coordinator, or Engineer. **Your profile**: - Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Business, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent work experience. Advanced degree preferred. - **Fluent in English and in French (written & spoken).**: - **10 or more years of experience in IT.**: - 5 years of progressive **leadership responsibilities.**: - 5 years’ experience in effectively managing **cross-functional teams **influencing key stakeholders across the organization. - 3 years' experience in **M365 Security Stack, **including MPIP. - Demonstrates experience in both planning and successful execution roles in complex Environments. - Proven experience or demonstrated capability in leading IT Workplace engineering groups **in complex and dynamic environments.**: - Advanced understanding of ITSM Framework (ITIL). **ITIL Foundations certified required.**: - Ability to instill confidence in the CIO and Director of IT Technology, and to contribute to the business value of IT. - Excellent analytical, conceptual thinking, planning and execution skills. - **Strong User Experience acumen **, including cross-domain knowledge and career experience in a Workplace role, such as a System Administrator/engineer or Workplace Engineer. - Ability to **drive organizational change **and build Workplace and User Experience capabilities that effectively balance the need to continuously exploit capabilities to optimize operational efficiency with the need to deliver innovative and agile Workplace solutions to enable the business to explore new opportunities. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
