ACT contributes to preserving the peace, security and territorial integrity of Alliance member states by leading, at Strategic Command level, Warfare Development required to enhance NATO’s posture, military structures, forces, capabilities and doctrines.
The Command Group provides general support, coordination, management, administrative service and specialist advice to SACT, DSACT and COS.
Chief of Staff (COS) is responsible to SACT and DSACT for the staff activity necessary to execute ACT’s mission. It is the focal point for the implementation of the Commander’s direction and guidance as well as the initiation and co-ordination of all ACT staff efforts.
Supreme Allied Commander Transformation’s Representative in Europe (SACTREPEUR) is the Commander’s direct representative, and the staff (STRE) are ACT's permanent advocates and interlocutors in Headquarters NATO, acting as a force multiplier through their collocation and intimate understanding of the headquarters’ workings and personalities. SACTREPEUR and STRE operate across three related functions: carrying ACT’s position into formal events; shaping the environment in Headquarters NATO for successful ACT outcomes; and being active sensors to make sure, through dialogue and formal reporting, that leadership and staff in HQ SACT have an understanding of the prevailing environment in NATO’s political headquarters.
The Staff Assistant (Admin ) in front office performs general secretarial duties in support of SACTREPEUR.
**Reports to**:
- Military Assistant
**Principal Duties**:His/her duties are:
a. Act as Personal Assistant to SACTREPEUR under the supervision of the Military Assistant.
b. Provide Administrative Support to SACTREPEUR, DSACTREPEUR/COS and MA.
c. Coordinate visits of SACT HQ Flag and General Officers to NATO HQ in relation with SO (Support Services).
d. Arrange meetings; coordinate transportation; coordinates agenda changes; coordinate working lunches; administratively support visiting delegations.
e. Coordinate and manage all Protocol activities, in relation with Staff Officer (Support Services), to include generating invitations, preparing guest lists paying particular attention to the protocol order; prepare social events.
f. Prepare correspondence for SACTREPEUR and maintain the correspondence files.
g. Assist the MA, in screening incoming correspondence, documents and messages, driving attention of SACTREPEUR and DSACTREPEUR/COS to items of special interest and in consultation with them.
h. Act as the administrative stand-in for MA during short periods of absence.
i. Assist in the management of divisional information, knowledge and workflows.
j. Act as point of contact for initial requests addressed to SACTREPEUR of varying nature.
k. Assist in the preparation of agenda/programs, meeting summaries and supporting documentation for meetings, working groups and conferences chaired, administered or attended by SACTREPEUR, DSACTRPEUR/COS and MA.
l. Undertake any other duties and/or tasks as directed.
**Essential Qualifications**
a. Secondary education, preferably up to a higher level, and basic training for specific task related skills, with 2 years experience.
b. At least 3 years previous experience of administrative and organizational work.
c. Secretarial / Administrative Front Office experience in multinational Military / International Organizations.
d. Very good knowledge of spoken and written English and able to communicate clearly, concisely and professionally in both written and oral ways.
e. Experience in organizing meetings, social events, visits, conferences and NATO protocol procedures.
f. In-depth knowledge of general office procedures.

**Desirable Qualifications**

1. Knowledge of NHQ and ACT processes and procedures.
