Technical Product Developer/project Manager

**Job Summary**:

- As a product development technologist, you will bring innovative and marketable products to life. Your responsibilities will encompass research, design, prototyping, testing, and coordination with various stakeholders to ensure successful product development.
- As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects related to the manufacturing of plastic parts using injection molding and related assembly solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including commercial, engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance to ensure successful project completion within specified timeframes and budget constraints.

**Responsibilities**:
Product Developer:

- Conduct market research and analysis to identify consumer needs, trends, and opportunities for new products.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive products to drive innovation and sustainability to enhance product development strategies.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate creative ideas and concepts for new products.
- Develop product design concepts, considering factors such as functionality, aesthetics, manufacturability, and cost.
- Cooperating with Engineering offices for 2D and 3D product designs, utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define product specifications, features, and target audience.
- Document product specifications, design changes, and project progress throughout the development lifecycle.
- Build physical or virtual prototypes to validate design concepts and facilitate testing and feedback.
- Conduct product testing and evaluation, iterating design improvements based on test results.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with manufacturing processes.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source and evaluate materials, components, and manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with manufacturing personnel to optimize production processes and ensure efficient and cost-effective manufacturing of products.
- Monitor project timelines and milestones, ensuring adherence to schedules and resolving any potential delays or issues.
- Collaborate with commercial to develop product positioning and launch strategies.
- Provide support during product launch activities, including training, marketing initiatives, and customer presentations.
- Foster a collaborative and creative work environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Project Manager:

- Define project scope (voice of customer), goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget estimates.
- Coordinate and communicate project progress, milestones, and risks to the project team and stakeholders.
- Manage project schedules, ensuring adherence to deadlines and identifying potential bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with customer’ design engineers to review product designs for manufacturability and cost optimization.
- Work closely with tooling engineers to ensure the timely development injection molds.
- Monitor and control project costs, tracking expenditures and ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Coordinate with production personnel to optimize manufacturing processes and achieve quality standards.
- Conduct regular project meetings, documenting decisions, actions, and follow-up tasks.
- Identify and manage project risks, proactively addressing issues to minimize impact on project outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and quality assurance protocols.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the project team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
