As an IT Functional Analyst, you will be part of the community of engineering practitioners across the company, where we develop the foundations of our future business towards terminal automation.
**Responsibilities**
- Performing structured process and analysis in relation to terminal automation
- Translate business requirements into features
- Validate features with business users, technical teams & architects
- Contributing to the design of components and patterns of the defined solution architecture
- Drafting solutions to provide new functionality and solution in equipment automation
- Identifying performance efficiency barriers and proposing fixes
- Divide the features into releasable sprint increments (user stories)
- Create a functional analysis that enables the development team to implement the user stories
- Defining system and user accept testing cases and approach
- Post implementation support and system enhancements
- Participates in system and user acceptance testing efforts.
- Ensures Standard Operating Procedures are written and maintained to reflect current state
- Ensure all new build activates are handed over to Service Delivery Management team once in production
- Understands system interdependencies and collaborates with project teams accordingly
- Assisting the IT-Product-owner on the product backlog
- Defining data models and interfaces between the different levels and systems on a functional basis.
- Setup a proper documentation:
- Document features, stories & analysis in tools like Jira & Confluence
- Prepare technical user manuals, system configuration documents and other technical reports
- Explain goals, features & stories in sprint planning meetings
- Participate in sprint demo’s, reviews & retrospectives
- Support for IT tester for the creation and execution of test cases
This role is with the Technology team (EARTECH), within the EMEA (EuroMed & the Americas) region situated in Antwerp Belgium.
This role reports to the product Architect.

Education: Bachelor or master degree
Experience:5+ in business and/or functional analysis
Expertise in collecting, analyzing and documenting business and functional requirements
Experience in writing user stories
Knowledge of BPMN and UML.
Knowledge of Sparx Enterprise Architect or equivalent tool.
Affinity with back-end technology (API, Java, IMDG (Hazelcast), message oriented middleware (ActiveMQ))
Familiar with Agile / Scrum
Languages: fluent in Dutch/English speaking and writing
