You play a pivotal role in ensuring early procurement involvement, bringing strategic sourcing and contract management into projects from day one.By combining your strong procurement expertise with proactive collaboration, you translate ambitious client requirements and business objectives into actionable strategies that maximize project value and long-term success.Your Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Procurement Leadership: Define and implement procurement strategies from the pre-sales phase through to execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives.Early Procurement Involvement: Engage proactively during the Business Development stage to embed procurement strategies early and drive project performance.Tender Management: Prepare, launch, and manage calls for tenders, ensuring a transparent, competitive, and compliant selection process.Negotiation and Contracting: Lead negotiations with suppliers, develop strategies with project teams, and finalize contracts efficiently in coordination with Legal and Project stakeholders.Contract Management: Translate client contract mechanisms into supplier contracts, protecting Tractebel's interests and ensuring smooth project execution.Governance and Alignment: Represent Procurement in project steering committees and lead procurement activities across all phases.Supplier and Market Intelligence: Identify and evaluate suppliers, manage relationships, and maintain up-to-date market knowledge to secure the best conditions and ensure sustained performance.Compliance and Risk Management: Guarantee adherence to Group policies, regulatory frameworks, and risk mitigation standards.Performance Monitoring: Report procurement performance and highlight measurable value creation and savings achieved through strategic sourcing.We Would Love to Hear from People withA passion for procurement, sustainability, and project excellenceA strategic and analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skillsExcellent negotiation, influencing, and communication abilitiesThe ability to thrive in dynamic, multicultural, and cross-functional environmentsA results-driven and collaborative approachThe ambition to contribute to the success and efficiency of large-scale engineering projectsYour ProfileMaster's degree (BAC+5) with a specialization in Procurement and/or Contract Management5-10 years of experience in project procurement within similar industries (engineering, energy, or infrastructure)Demonstrated experience in contract and claim managementKnowledge of FIDIC, NEC, or IFI (World Bank) contracts is a strong assetExcellent analytical judgment and a practical, solution-oriented mindsetStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to build partnerships and influence stakeholdersFluent in Dutch and English; proficiency in French is an assetExperience working in multicultural, geographically distributed environmentsWho You AreCommunicative and collaborativeOrganized, methodical, and proactiveConfident under pressure and adaptable to changeDriven by excellence, integrity, and continuous improvementCurious and motivated to create long-term impact through procurement innovationWho We AreOur top priorities are people, ethics, safety, and sustainability.With Tractebel, you are uniquely positioned to make a positive impact on global net-zero targets.
