We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Pre-Sales Systems Engineer to join our sales team and support our growing solution portfolio.Job Summary:As a Pre-Sales Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our sales team by providing technical expertise and guidance to customers during the sales process. You will be responsible for understanding customer requirements, demonstrating our solutions and their interfaces and interoperability with other on-board and wayside systems, and articulating the technical benefits [value proposition] of our solutions in the context of different application scenarios and use cases. Your ability to understand customer needs and formulate optimized technical solutions will be essential in driving successful sales outcomes.Key Responsibilities:Customer Engagement: Collaborate with the sales team to understand client solution requirements, and formulate technical proposals and compliance.Technical Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling technical presentations and demonstrations of TSC solutions to prospective customers.Solution Design and Bill of Material Specification: Work with customers to design tailored solutions that meet their specific requirements, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices. And generate the complete solution bill of materials (BOM) for the software and hardware Proposal Development: Assist in the creation of technical proposals and documentation, including specifications, system architecture, compliance statements, and implementation plans.Pre-Sales Technical Support: Provide pre-sales technical support, addressing customer inquiries/questions related to the performance and functionality of TSC products and solutions. Liaise and consult with the Product Management team as necessary to optimize the customer response and experience. Build and maintain a library of Technical Q&A.Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies in the digital rail sector, using your knowledge and insights to inform sales strategies and the product roadmap.Collaboration: Work closely with product management, project delivery, and customer support teams to ensure a seamless transition from pre-sales to post-sales support.Training and Knowledge Sharing: Conduct technical training sessions for internal teams and customers to assure/enhance understanding of TSCs solution portfolio.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.Proven experience in a technical pre-sales role, preferably in the rail sector.Strong understanding of digital rail technologies (hardware and software), including signalling systems, train control and management, and data analytics.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.Proficiency in technical documentation and technical proposal writing.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Willingness to travel as needed (globally) to meet with customers and attend industry events.Demonstrably proficient in English (oral and written)What We Offer:Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.A dynamic and innovative work environment.The chance to make a meaningful impact in the digital transformation of the rail industry.How to Apply:Interested candidates should submit their resume and a cover letter outlining their relevant experience and interest in the position to elizabeth.escobar@thesignallingcompany.com
