Freelance Senior Financial ControllerIntroductionAre you a hands-on finance professional with a strong track record in month-end closings, high-quality reporting, and continuous process improvement? For a client based in Brussels City Centre, we are looking for a Financial Controller to ensure accurate and timely financial closing and reporting, while acting as a key finance partner toward regional management. You'll work in an international environment with reporting under BE GAAP and US GAAP, and collaborate closely with various stakeholders.Job descriptionYour responsibilities include:Ensuring correct and timely monthly and annual closings, including key reconciliations and financial reporting under BE GAAP and US GAAPSupervising accounting activities performed by the SSC, acting as the first point of contact for questions, deviations, and follow-upCoordinating internal and external audits (statutory and US GAAP) and maintaining relationships with external advisors and auditorsEnsuring compliance with local and global requirements and maintaining strong internal control measuresPerforming analysis of results, P&L and balance sheet positions, and presenting clear explanations to regional finance managementSupporting VAT, corporate tax and transfer pricing filingsActively contributing to process improvement and system optimization within SAP S/4HANAProfileSolid experience in financial controlling, accounting, and closing activitiesStrong understanding of BE GAAP and US GAAP reporting requirementsExperienced in working with SSCs and driving quality/accuracyComfortable coordinating with auditors and external stakeholdersAnalytical, structured, and proactive mindset, with strong communication skillsPractical knowledge of SAP S/4HANA is an assetOfferLocation: Brussels City Centre (50% remote work possible)Start date: ASAPCompetitive daily rate
