As a Customs Expert, you combine pragmatic advisory work with hands-on operational support for multiple clients. You analyse EU customs legislation, translate complex rules into workable solutions and guide client teams both on-site and remotely. Every project is different, but you'll be backed by a close-knit group of senior specialists who share knowledge daily.Your profile:5–10 years of relevant experience in customs and/or excisePassion for customs and excise, with a knack for turning theory into practiceProven ability to multitask and deliver results in a fast-paced customs environment, supported by strong project-management skillsEager to take ownership and build strong relationships with clients and stakeholdersExcellent communication and analytical skillsHands-on, flexible, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a teamHolder of a valid driving licenceFluent in Dutch and English (French is a plus)As a Customs Consultant you'll provide day-to-day operational support to a variety of customers, suggest process improvements, steer their customs teams or optimise customs software. No two days are alike, and an experienced bench of experts is always available for sparring and coaching.Your profile: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in customs and/or excise, import-export, freight forwarding or logisticsPassion for customs (and excise) with a knack for turning theory into practiceProven ability to multitask and deliver results in a fast-paced customs environmentResilient and able to keep the big picture, even under pressureStructured worker who keeps processes orderly and clearReady to take ownership: able to prepare customs declarations and manage filings in line with current legislationCompliance-minded—never loses sight of the rulesExcellent communication and analytical skillsHands-on, flexible, and comfortable working both independently and in a teamHolder of a valid category B driving licenceFluent in Dutch and English (French is a plus)You'll deploy your expertise on varied consultancy assignments for our various clients, enjoying real autonomy and room for personal growth in a dynamic, goal-oriented business culture; you'll work in an inspiring yet informal setting with a small, dedicated team—complete with regular social activities—and benefit from a broad range of in-house training to apply and deepen your customs-and-excise know-how.Interested?
