What You’ll Be Doing

• Serve as the technical authority for AI architecture, guiding the design and evolution of robust, scalable AI solutions.
• Translate complex operational needs into pragmatic, sustainable technical architectures aligned with business objectives.
• Design and maintain reference architectures for AI, ensuring seamless integration with existing IT ecosystems and strict adherence to security, governance, compliance, and performance standards.
• Lead the development and evolution of the AI-Lab: a secure, controlled environment for AI experimentation, validation, and deployment.
• Architect solutions leveraging Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Large Language Models (LLM), Generative AI, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), AI Agents, Computer Vision, and Speech AI.
• Provide expertise across cloud, hybrid, and on-premise architectures, including data platforms, MLOps pipelines, API-driven and event-driven architectures, containerization, and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Champion best practices in AI Engineering, MLOps, DevSecOps, and AI Governance, embedding cybersecurity, data protection, traceability, auditability, and regulatory compliance into every solution.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and project managers to assess feasibility, identify risks, and ensure architectural consistency with organizational strategy.
• Continuously monitor AI technology trends, evaluating and recommending innovations that deliver tangible value.

• AI Engineering & MLOps: MLflow, CI/CD, model monitoring, versioning, retraining, industrialization (Expert)
• AI Architecture: Large Language Models (LLM), Generative AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP (Expert)
• Software Architecture: REST APIs, microservices, distributed architectures, solution integration (Expert)
• Cloud & AI Platforms: Microsoft Azure, Azure AI Services, cloud and hybrid architectures (Expert)
• Containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (Expert)
• Data Management: SQL, NoSQL, Vector Databases (Expert)
• Programming Languages: Python (Expert)

Other Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in software solution design and development, with at least 2 years in AI or ML architecture.
• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, AI, Software Engineering, or related field. Non-traditional backgrounds welcome if you demonstrate equivalent expertise and impact.
• Demonstrated experience deploying AI solutions in production, from needs analysis to operational rollout.
• Experience defining cloud or hybrid architectures, ideally within Microsoft Azure, and integrating AI into complex IT environments.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and support technical best practices.
• Language: Professional proficiency in English required; knowledge of French or Dutch is a plus.
• Availability: Full-time (40 hours/week), hybrid work (minimum 2 days/week onsite in Brussels, remote work authorized within Belgium).
• Project Duration: Until end of 2026 (renewable), initial contract 3 months with possible extension.
