Job Summary:

The IT Finance Officer is responsible for managing the financial aspects of the IT department, including budget oversight, purchase order creation, and financial reporting. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and expertise in using financial software, particularly SAP and Excel, to ensure effective budgeting, reporting, and vendor invoice management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchase Order/Budget Management:
    • Creation of Purchase Orders and facilitating Budget Release for IT-related expenditures.
    • Oversee and manage IT team's Opex (Operating Expenditure) and Capex (Capital Expenditure) budgets.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Serve as the first point of contact between the IT department and the IT Finance Controller.
    • Analyze monthly Opex/Capex reports and present key findings to the IT Controller.
    • Manage Opex/Capex dashboards and provide regular reports.
  • Accruals and Vendor Management:
    • Handle accruals and ensure accurate financial forecasting.
    • Follow up on vendor invoices, ensuring timely payments.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Technical Skills:

    • Advanced ICT skills, with proficiency in working with software applications, databases, and content management systems.
    • Expertise in office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet/intranet navigation.
    • SAP knowledge is required (as a user); Ariba experience is a plus.
    • Mastery of Excel is essential for budget management and reporting.

  • Experience:

    • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar financial management role, preferably in an IT or tech-focused department.

  • Other Competencies:

    • Strong organizational and planning skills to manage tasks independently, ensuring timely and accurate output.
    • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.

Key Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge of SAP and Excel is essential.
  • Proven experience in managing Opex/Capex budgets.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to work autonomously and take responsibility for final deliverables.
