About Battery Recycling Solutions (BRS)

We extract critical and valuable materials from end-of-life batteries or production scrap as efficiently as possible and reintroduce them in the battery materials supply chain. The better we do our job, the less metals have to be mined from nature. We are a total solutions provider just coming to life operating in an agile, fast-changing and growing market. What you will be doing

The overall strategy of Battery Recycling Solution is to build the value chain together with external partners

The Senior Manager Value Chain Development will lead the identification, mapping, negotiation and establishment of key strategic partnerships to optimize the BRS value chain on all non-core activities (pre-treatment, logistics, discharging, dismantling, diagnosis & re-use, storage). This role requires a transformational leader who can strategically develop and implement partnerships and present the sophisticated puzzle of possibilities in a clear overview during BRS project steerco’s. Together with the team you will also face the BRS customers (OEM, cell makers) to represent the value chain strategy of BRS and thereby participate in tendering and value chain related projects. Your role will also be essential in the participation to set-up the BRS organization to become a Tier 1 supplier.

More detailed responsibilities :

Lead Partner identification and evaluationIdentify potential strategic partners through market analysis, industry trends and networking.Evaluate potential partners based on alignment with organization objectives, capabilities and future LT strategic match on both sides Responsible for negotiation and contractual set-upLead discussions with prospective partners to establish mutually beneficial agreementsSet-up exclusivity and NDA agreements when applicableSet up contracts with sub-suppliers in Tier 1 automotive market and thereby guarantee compliance with Sub-Supplier management system Coordinate the cross-functional collaborationFacilitate effective communication and collaboration between internal teamsFacilitate effective and diplomatic communication and collaboration with external prospective partners and networking Project managementLead the value chain related projects thereby ensuring regular reporting to steerco’s and coordination of project team.  Lead, mentor and support the team towards the development and optimization of the organisation’s value chain. Lead the Innovation and joint initiativesWork with strategic partners to find opportunities for joint innovation and process optimisationsDrive collaborative initiatives that result in streamlined process, cost reductions and enhanced value chain performance Perform Risk management and contingency planning : Assess and mitigate risks associated with strategic partnerships, developing contingency plans as necessary.

Who we are looking for

Master degree in business, engineering science Extensive working experience (+ 10 years) in a B2B commercial environment. Strong preference for experience in project management in a business environment where conceptual/strategic thinking is required. Knowledge of network design studies is a plus Knowledge of Li-ion batteries, value chain of battery reycling is an asset Proven track record in encouraging effective teamwork and motivating staff in a matrix structure Good presentation skills and confidence presenting to senior management Great teammate with the ability to translate sophisticated messages in an easy and structured way Easy connecting and have open communication style both with internal as well as external stakeholders on all organisational levels Capable of handling several priorities under time restraint and meet deadlines Committed to results Willing to travel up to 30%
