Your Scope
We are looking for a Fruit Price Controller to take the lead in information regarding customer needs, historical data, market conditions, and internal margin/revenue targets within our frozen Fruit business.
Your main task will be to take ownership of costing calculations and pricing targets for existing and future customer offers, and to help enable our frozen Fruit sales ambitions. You will report to the Group Commercial Controller and will be a key contact for diverse stakeholders within the firm (Finance, Purchase, Supply Chain and Sales Departments).
As Fruit Price Controller, you can expect to:
Develop and maintain pricing tools; Support sales by providing timely and accurate costing information during fruit tenders; Monitor input costing changes (such as exchange rates, shipping costs, raw material costs) and develop sensitivity analysis thresholds to provide reporting on potential changes to fruit costs; Maintain knowledge and stay informed of developments in the fruit market via information obtained from purchase department and other formal sources of information; Analyse and redefine the current pricing strategy to a more value- and competition-based pricing for our different product and customer groups; Clarify customer expectations regarding fruit references during tenders in terms of quality, packing requirements, origin, etc. Investigate and compare costs for requested fruit references packed in the group or at source; Collaborate with our Purchase department to identify best options for sourcing and packing by providing all needed information in a timely manner such as volume, target costings; Maintain databases for fruit packing costs, fruit raw material costs, shipping costs and exchange rates to enable fast cost calculations during tender period; Communicate costs with sales responsibles and collaborate on the commercial offering.
Your profile
You have a master’s degree in economics or finance; You have 3-5 years relevant experience in commercial/cost controlling. Relevant experience in a production environment is a plus; You have proven analytical and commercial skills, eager to learn and are result driven; You are an advanced Excel user; knowledge of SAP and BI tools is an asset; You are hands-on, you have a can-do mentality and a heart for continuous improvement; You speak fluent Dutch and English. French and German are a plus.
