For the client, IoT technology is at the core of everything they do and their main focus is to developing effective end-to-end solutions for Automated Fare Collection (AFC).
You are passionate about automated fare collection, eager to learn and work in a dynamic international environment? You have a strong interest in intelligent transport systems and you want to help us make a positive impact on society by making public transport more attractive?
They are looking to strengthen their Bid Management team, located in Diegem (near Zaventem Airport), they are seeking a dedicated and driven Bid Manager, who :

As part of the Bid team the goal is to organize and execute the various bid management activities, taking into account commercial, legal, financial, technical and administrative aspects, to timely deliver high quality bid responses to the client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a first high level analysis of incoming customer requests and ensure a smooth and objective internal decision process.
- Follow the 'Offer Process' including managing the bid documentation, risks and assumptions, ensuring that appropriate governance (approval process) is followed.
- Be the main point of contact for assigned bids within the organization.
- Distribute and follow-up tasks assigned to internal and external stakeholders and partners.
- Facilitate and coordinate various bid activities.
- Responsible for bid administration
- Maintain and update the opportunity tracking list
- Ensure that the SharePoint repository is up to date with the latest bid inputs
- Strive for a continuous improvement of the bid process.
- Sales support activities
- Coordinate responses preparation to sales information requests
- Marketing and presales support activities
- Gather market information based on customer requirements
- Assist in the maintenance and creation of marketing tools such as technical customer specification documents
- Organize and ensure the transfer of knowledge towards project management when a bid is won and awarded.

Technical competencies:
- Technical IT and/or financial background
- General knowledge and experience in the field of ICT
- Industry and Market Knowledge, including competitors, trends, and regulations, is seen as an advantage
- Ideally a first relevant experience in a BID or pre-sales related position within a B2B environment
- Knowledge and/or experience with projects and project organisation
- Good knowledge of standard Microsoft Office applications
- Capable of quickly learning to use new software applications
- Financial and commercial skills
- General acquaintance with hardware, software and data communication facilities
- Multilingual: English is a must, Dutch and/ or French is seen as an advantage
