We are now entering an exciting new chapter: obtaining our own Payment Institution license to operate as a PayFac and building the next generation of acquiring and payment solutions — combining our strong existing base with new, innovative products.This is a unique opportunity to join Keyware at a pivotal moment: shaping and launching a new acquiring business from the ground up. The Role We are looking for a Head of Product to take ownership of our merchant acquiring and payment acceptance offering. You’ll be the first dedicated product hire, with the mandate to design, launch, and grow the product function at Keyware.Your mission will be to define, build, and evolve the value proposition for small merchants — from payment terminals and cash register integrations to acquiring services, pricing models, and new features. You’ll collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, and IT to bring new products and services to market, while managing relationships with our suppliers and partners. What You’ll Do Define the merchant offering: Develop and continuously improve our product suite for small merchants (terminals, POS, acquiring services, cash registers, additional services, pricing, etc.). Own supplier management: Manage relationships with terminal vendors, gateways, and acquiring partners, ensuring smooth collaboration and top-quality delivery. Lead product launches: Coordinate and follow up on the rollout of new products, services, and features together with Sales, Operations, and IT. Shape product strategy: Work closely with leadership to align product development with Keyware’s strategic goals, including the transition to PayFac. Understand the tech landscape: Build expertise in payment protocols, integrations with cash registers, and the broader merchant acquiring ecosystem. What We’re Looking For Proven experience in product management, ideally in card payments / merchant acquiring. Strong knowledge of the Belgian payments market (CTAP, meal vouchers, etc.) is a big plus. Solid understanding of — or ability to quickly learn — the technical aspects of acquiring (protocols, POS integration, cash registers, gateways). A strategic thinker who can move fast and make things happen in a scale‑up environment. Languages: English is mandatory, plus French or Dutch. Willingness to be regularly present in Zaventem (head office), with flexibility to also work from home and from our Aalst office. Why Join Keyware?
