With a rich history dating back to 1972, Altaroc Partners, formerly Amboise Partners, stands as one of Europe's oldest asset management firms.

Founded by Maurice Tchenio, the firm managed Apax's Private Equity funds from the launch of the first fund until 2010, a testament to our stability and experience in the industry.

Since 1995, Altaroc Partners has been committed to promoting the democratisation of Private Equity by serving as the investment advisor to Altamir, the first evergreen Private Equity company listed in Europe.

Altamir provides access via the stock market to a leading portfolio of growth-oriented mid-sized companies, primarily managed by the funds Seven2 (formerly Apax Partners SAS) and Apax Partners LLP.

In 2021, Frederic Stolar joined Altaroc Partners. Frederic founded Sagard, where he managed the Private Equity portfolio of Albert Frère and Paul Desmarais.

The firm launched in 2021 the Odyssey fund range, allowing private clients to build a Private Equity portfolio each year (via a B2B2C business model), allowing investors access the Private Equity asset class from €100,000, composed of 5 to 7 global funds of institutional quality and co-investments alongside Altaroc and its partners.

Currently Altaroc has an AUM close to 3billion EUR and has raised close to 1.5billion EUR in the past 3 years in the Odyssey vintage range in France alone.

Altaroc is focusing on being a true pioneer in the world of Private Equity and focuses on developing solutions and a complete ecosystem for its distribution partners and investors.

Job description :

Under the responsibility of the Benelux Country Head, your mission consists among other things in:

  • Being a true Private Equity ambassador. Providing insights on the asset class and on Altroc's offering to IFAs, banks, insurance companies, wealth managers, family offices and institutional investors.
    • Helping to identify the top IFAs in the region and construct together with the Benelux Country Head a full business plan how to activate the relationship and drive flows.
      • Helping to organise and participating to webinars and events (both organised by Altaroc, or third party organized events).
        • Helping to construct a solid marketing plan together with the Benelux Country Head.
          • Meeting all the top IFAs and advisor in the region on a regular basis to provide full support and accompany them to provide support to their clients (i.e. during roadshows, and/ or end-client presentations).
            • Selling the overall Altaroc's solutions and ecosystem to distributors (banks/ IFAs), which is much more than just selling an alternative investment Fund (vintage or evergreen).
              • Good knowledge of the IFA or Private Banking community is a plus.

The role is ideal for an energetic person, that has a flair of confidence and high communication skills - with no fear of presenting. Knowledge of financial products and private equity is a key advantage. English, French and Dutch is a pre-requisite.

The role will be demanding, however very rewarding for someone enjoying helping to construct a business and enjoying a social business development role.
