Requisition ID 10546 Posting Start Date 09/12/2025 Function As Legal Counsel, you will be part of the General Secretariat Department. You will assist the Secretary of Elia Transmission Belgium, as well as the management on national level. Responsibilities Providing advice on corporate, finance and contract law Advising on and ensuring compliance with good corporate governance practices Offering guidance on regulatory governance (corporate governance and certification under the Electricity Act) Managing the mandates and signing authorities of the entire Elia group Preparing, attending and compiling reports on meetings held by various bodies, Executive management board, Boards of Directors and Ordinary / Extraordinary General Meetings of Elia Transmission Belgium and Elia Asset and reporting to management at national level Working closely together with lawyers and notaries on various legal documents and acts Working closely with the regulatory and supervisory authorities (Federal and Regional level) Keeping track of legislative developments in the branches of law relevant to the company Qualifications You hold a Master's degree in law You have up to 5 years' relevant professional experience in a company and/or at the Bar You are fluent in both French and Dutch and have an excellent grasp of English You are well versed in the branches of law relevant to the company, more specifically corporate and regulatory law You can work with others at all levels of management You are a team player You are diplomatic, honest and discreet You organise your work effectively and pay close attention to details You have solid analytical skills and a flair for writing documents (opinions, minutes, and so on) Offer Salary a competitive salary package, allowance for representation expenses, year‑end bonus, double vacation pay, meal vouchers (€8 per working day), eco‑vouchers, sport & culture vouchers, bonuses based on individual and group results.
