Position Overview:

  • We are seeking an initiative-taking Sales Development Manager to drive sales and build lasting relationships with clients in the Benelux region. This role is critical in achieving our ambitious growth goals and enhancing our market presence in the Nutra-ingredients sector.
  • The successful candidate will bring a wealth of industry knowledge and a proven record of exceeding sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed individual and company sales targets within the Benelux region.
  2. Maintain and grow a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring exceptional levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  3. Identify new business opportunities by leveraging existing industry contacts and building relationships with potential clients.
  4. Actively promote and sell a diverse range of raw materials, including vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and specialized ingredients for the food, feed, and supplement industries.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams, including operations and purchasing, to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs.
  6. Plan and participate in industry events, trade shows, and customer engagement activities to enhance brand visibility and network with key stakeholders.
  7. Provide regular sales reports, market insights, and updates to the European Sales Manager.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Minimum 5 years' experience in sales within the Nutra-Ingredients industry, with a focus on vitamins, minerals, sports nutrition, and supplements.
  2. Established network of clients and decision-makers within the Benelux food and feed sectors.
  3. Strong knowledge of market dynamics, product applications, and customer needs in the region.
  4. Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets, with excellent negotiation and closing skills.
  5. Fluent in English and at least one other language relevant to the Benelux region (Dutch, French, or German preferred).
  6. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain trusted customer relationships.
  7. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple accounts effectively.

Preferred Skills:

  1. Experience with CRM systems and reporting tools.
  2. Familiarity with international trade, customs regulations, and logistics.
