We are looking for a pragmatic Fleet Operator Intern who is eager to work close to real-world operations and take ownership of the performance of Octave's energy assets. In this role, you will sit at the intersection of monitoring, incident response, and technical operations, contributing directly to the reliability of our battery systems, PV installations, and EV infrastructure. The position is well suited to someone hands-on, proactive, and comfortable switching between operational follow-up, data analysis, and technical configuration in a fast-moving scale-up environment.Your RoleMonitor the performance and availability of Octave's fleet (Battery systems, PV installations, EV stations) using internal tools and dashboardsFollow up on alerts and incidents, provide first-line support, and escalate complex issues when neededPerform ad-hoc data analysis related to failures, incidents, and overall Energy Management System (EMS) performanceProvision and prepare controllers (Edgeboxes) for EMS deploymentPerform software and firmware updates on battery systemsSupport the commissioning of new sites, including EMS configuration and validationWhat We're Looking ForCurrently pursuing a master's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical fieldProactive mindsetA minimum duration for the internship of 3 monthsBonus Points ForInterest in energy systems, energy management, or cleantechExperience or coursework in Python and/or SQLAffinity with Linux system administration and IT networking concepts.What's in it for youYou will gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day operation of real energy assets within a fast-growing cleantech scale-up.
