Het MateriNex-team binnen VITO zet zich in opdracht van VLAIO en EWI in om het onderzoek in Vlaanderen naar innovatieve materialen voor energie, mobiliteit en bouw te stroomlijnen en te versnellen. Het team faciliteert binnen het hele innovatie eco-systeem in het lanceren van nieuwe projecten rond materialenonderzoek, in het opvolgen van lopend onderzoek en het verspreiden van nieuwe kennis en informatie.

Als **Innovation Manager** bij MateriNex heb je voeling met wat er leeft op het vlak van materialen en waar noden tot onderzoek zich situeren. Je faciliteert één of meerdere focusgroepen rond de materialenthema's zoals batterijtechnologie, waterstof, bouw en constructie, strategische en kritieke grondstoffen. Hiernaast lanceer je op basis van de bijhorende roadmaps voor deze materialenthema's oproepen tot projectvoorstellen in Vlaanderen. Je coördineert de projectvoorstellen en legt deze voor aan een extern expertenpanel. De projectvoorstellen die worden goedgekeurd, worden ingediend bij het Vlaams Agentschap voor Innovatie en Ontwikkeling. Per project stel je een consortium van organisaties, kennis
- en onderzoeksinstellingen samen, en je volgt de werking van dit consortium op.
- Je onderhoudt contacten met organisaties en structurele partners om voeling te houden met wat er leeft en waar er noden zijn.
- Samen met focusgroepen zet je roadmaps uit en stelt deze bij waar nodig. Dit doe je in overleg met verschillende stakeholders zoals bijvoorbeeld Vlaamse bedrijven actief in één van de materialenthema's, strategische onderzoekscentra, sectororganisaties of kennisinstellingen.
- Je staat in voor de ontwikkeling van een project; welke noden zijn er, welke mogelijke co-creaties kunnen ontstaan, waar zien we matches tussen noden en/of partners,
- Je lanceert oproepen tot partnering en samenwerking om tot evenwichtige consortia te komen.
- Je bent het aanspreekpunt voor consortia van goedgekeurde projecten.
- Je zorgt voor de verspreiding van projectresultaten.
- Je beschikt over een Master-diploma, bij voorkeur in een technisch-wetenschappelijke of economische richting.
- Je hebt ervaring in het onderhouden van netwerken en hebt voeling met zowel de onderzoekswereld, als de academische en bedrijfswereld.
- Ervaring in een wetenschappelijke omgeving is een pluspunt.
- Bij voorkeur heb je kennis van materialen op het gebied van energie, structurele materialen voor bouw en construct en/of nanomaterialen
- Je bent zowel mondeling als schriftelijk vloeiend in het Engels en in het Nederlands.

Je hebt een sterke interesse in innovatieve materialen en houdt graag de vinger aan de pols. Je legt vlot nieuwe contacten en kan relaties uitbouwen. Je kan goed samenwerken met partners uit verschillende domeinen en allerhande stakeholders. Je weet wie te betrekken in verschillende fases. Je zoekt graag mee naar gemeenschappelijke grond en draagt vol overtuiging je visie over projecten uit om tot evenwichtige consortia te komen.
