Job Purpose

Define the strategy for extracting value of the OT data assets.

Define and maintain architectural data flows and functional relations across systems.

Define and select a portfolio of solutions that ensure data usability and customer driven focus.

Define and implement solutions to enable (at least but not limited to) Alarm management, Quality reporting, MES data integration, process understanding, Real Time Data process Monitoring, MVDA, OEE, Data Analytics, Digital Twin and Cloud integration

Ensure strong alignment with IT, GSC and R&D

  • Lead a Community of practice of automation managers in the sites. Be the first point of contact for local engineering teams in any aspect related with data usage

Your responsibilities:

LEADERSHIP

  • Develop and support the specifics of GSK Vaccines OT Data usage, with special focus on definition of Data Flows
  • Engage in a collaborative effort with sites and key partners to understand data needs from USER perspective.
  • Provide leadership to a core group of world class automation technical experts in the data usage
  • Create an effective and engaged Community of Practice with the sites Automation leaders and key partners (MSAT, IT, Quality, etc)

TECHNOLOGY

  • Define the Data usage philosophy, principles, and data flows.
  • Define architectural landscape to enable (at least but not limited to) Alarm management, Quality reporting, MES data integration, process understanding, Real Time Data process Monitoring, MVDA, OEE, Data Analytics, Digital Twin and Cloud integration
  • Write GSK guidelines for designing, procuring, installing, commissioning, qualification, and validation of automation technologies for data usage

CAPEX PROJECTS

  • Assist the design and development of automation packages for all CAPEX projects in Belgium and all strategic projects for international sites until end of BoD. Hand over to local site during Detailed design.
  • Ensure the right technology and standards are applied in the Capex projects
  • Act as a single point of contact for design aspect related to Capex project in regard to data usage

MANAGEMENT

  • Alliances and partnerships: Select the key automation partners for GSK in the field of technology and supervise their deployment and rollout
  • Frame contracts. In collaboration with procurement drive the right frame agreements with the key partners, and set up a transparent commercial and technical frame.
  • Foster replication and standardization. Engage the automation community and foster replication and copyandpaste approach.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • 5+ years of relevant working experience in the life sciences/pharmaceutical/biotech industry
  • Recommended 2 years in a global role, leading a network through influence
  • Experience designing, developing, optimizing, and / or maintaining data solutions including pipelines, architectures, and data sets
Strong knowledge of Historians (Osi-Pi) and data extraction using traditional and modern data engineering technologies

  • Expertise in working with data systems and architecture including batch, and realtime systems

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Ability and experience in leading a matrix team with non-hierarchical leadership in order to influence and to do stakeholder management
  • Being able to develop a strategy and roadmap for a network
Being trusted and perceived by the sites as the go to person with the relevant experience and education in the domain
