We are recruiting for a dynamic person to join our in-house team as a Human Resources and Payroll Associate.

As a vital member of our Human Resources team, you will be supporting payroll and benefits administration in Belgium by respecting all laws and regulations, taking cost efficiency and effectiveness into account.

This is a full time permanent hybrid role.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Acting as the local HR Representative for Belgium
  • Providing a continuous monitoring and updating of country applicable labour regulations and law
  • Providing efficient personnel administration
  • Supervising the outsourced monthly salary administration, ensuring timely and correct payments
  • Guaranteeing efficient communication with the accounting department by answering any queries regarding salary administration
  • Following up mandatory and secondary benefits
  • Reporting of headcount and full time equivalent (FTE), monitoring of employer's cost and collecting the data to guarantee reliable basis for cost calculation
  • Ensuring safe working conditions by acting as a prevention advisor and organizing medical examinations for the employees
  • Updating and advising the Heads/Directors of Units/Departments and employees on information regarding payroll, vacation days, insurances etc.
  • Participating in international HR projects

Education and Experience:

  • Commercial vocational training or a university degree in Business Administration or Social Sciences
  • A minimum of 2 years of Payroll and Compensation management and HR experience in Germany
  • Experience working with payroll or within Human Resources on an international level would be beneficial
  • Excellent knowledge in Dutch and English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook) and with local Payroll systems
