Position Overview
Are you looking to make a meaningful impact in your career? Join our team at allnex as a Technical Services Representative Composites. Your role will involve bringing allnex's cutting-edge resin technology to customers and providing support as needed. By driving development among both existing and new customers, you'll help raise awareness of allnex's technology and its technical capabilities in the composites market. This will require spending time in our application laboratories to specialize in the technology and various application processes for customer projects.
Additionally, you'll play a key role in the New Product Development strategy by gathering market insights on customer needs and providing feedback on product performance, both for existing products and those of allnex's competitors.
Responsibilities
- Support business growth and sales by providing technical assistance to customers and distributors in the composites sector, including improving existing products and introducing new ones.
- Maintain a leadership position in technology through expertise in application processes and specific resin.
- Conduct trials using lab machinery to produce composite samples and feasibility studies.
- Evaluate composite samples in the lab.
- Participate as a team member or project manager in development projects.
- Collaborate with Sales teams on customer and market opportunities.
- Gather market, customer, and competitive intelligence in partnership with Marketing and Business Development.
- Ensure effective reporting and communication and engage in discussions on unmet needs, new ideas, and projects with Business, Sales, Marketing, and R&D.
- Attend sales meetings to explore new business opportunities, discuss sales efforts, and share market insights.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of successful experience in a similar role.
- Expertise in production processes for composite materials.
- Strong technical acumen and hands-on approach.
- Effective analytical, assertive, and presentation skills.
- Customer-centric mindset.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities.
- Proactive and entrepreneurial with a focus on solutions, optimizations, and improvements.
- Proficiency in English and preferably Dutch or French in addition.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Willingness to travel within the EMEA region, approximately 30% of the time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field of exact science, with a preference for engineering, coupled with technical expertise in resins for composites.
