To maintain this growth we want to expand our Benelux-team with an Surgical Brand Manager.


The purpose of the position is, in collaboration with the International Marketing Group, to design, propose, implement and execute the marketing strategy of the equipment & consumables portfolio of products to achieve the defined objectives while being fully compliant with Compliance and Regulatory processes.


Main activities:

  • Collect and analyze market data, forecasts changes in order to develop the marketing strategy for the affected product range(s) (competition, regulatory environment, micro and macroeconomic trends)
  • Maintains a close and trusting relationship with the IMG (International Marketing Group) and/or Global structures in order to inform them about the Benelux market and get their support to achieve common objectives
  • Implement with the IMG support all the documents / content & programs for customers, and ensures a relevant localization of the said tools and projects developed
  • Ensures effective promotion of Alcon products by proposing / adapting tools and content intended for the sales force (product information, competitive universe, sales pitches, etc.) and customers (brochures, video, etc.), ensures their effectiveness by having exchanges regularly with the sales force and through an adequate field presence
  • Monitors the execution of the marketing strategy through the available tools (SalesForce, Pitcher etc.)
  • Maintains and develops partnerships with leaders (KOLs) and decision makers on the affected product line(s)
  • Proposes and respects marketing budgets to achieve the objectives of the portfolio
  • Ensures coordination between supply chain, customers, finance, regulatory & legal departments internally in order to optimize product management
  • Actively participates in the organization of Surgical events and congresses
  • Has a first experience in medical devices.
  • Fluent in English. Knowledge of Dutch or French are a big plus.
  • An ambitious, result oriented, enterprising and energetic person who can work independently but is also a great team player.
  • Has excellent communication skills, both technical and interpersonal, and masters strong business strategies.
  • Has a marketing oriented or field service experience and has influencing, negotiation and collaboration skills. You are able to build and maintain long term relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • High level of problem solving skills and learning agility as we plan to launch a number of new products over the next few years.
