The Key Account Manager will cultivate and sustain a productive, long-term relationship with his retail customers. In addition, he/she will gain a profound understanding of customer needs and requirements, while reporting directly to the Sales Manager Retail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate trust relationships with a portfolio of major clients to prevent them from turning to competitors.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of key customer's needs and requirements.
- Expand relationships with existing customers by consistently proposing solutions aligned with their objectives.
- Ensure the prompt delivery of correct products and services to customers.
- Act as the communication bridge between key customers and internal teams.
- Contribute significantly to generating new sales that evolve into enduring relationships.
- Prepare regular reports and forecasts for internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of shoppers, categories, and the market.
- Prepare volume forecasts and plans.
- Collaborate closely with teams from various departments.
- Resolve any issues and problems faced by clients, acting as a liaison between customers and internal teams.
- A college degree (Bachelor's or Master's, preferably with a business focus).
- 2-3 years of experience in Key Account Management, preferably in FMCG.
- Excellent visionary, strategic, and strong leadership skills.
- Proficient in analytical thinking.
- Ability to drive innovation and brand growth.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a "can-do" attitude, applicable to business processes.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in French, English and Dutch.
