The Key Account Manager will cultivate and sustain a productive, long-term relationship with his retail customers. In addition, he/she will gain a profound understanding of customer needs and requirements, while reporting directly to the Sales Manager Retail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate trust relationships with a portfolio of major clients to prevent them from turning to competitors.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of key customer's needs and requirements.
  • Expand relationships with existing customers by consistently proposing solutions aligned with their objectives.
  • Ensure the prompt delivery of correct products and services to customers.
  • Act as the communication bridge between key customers and internal teams.
  • Contribute significantly to generating new sales that evolve into enduring relationships.
  • Prepare regular reports and forecasts for internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of shoppers, categories, and the market.
  • Prepare volume forecasts and plans.
  • Collaborate closely with teams from various departments.
  • Resolve any issues and problems faced by clients, acting as a liaison between customers and internal teams.
  • A college degree (Bachelor's or Master's, preferably with a business focus).
  • 2-3 years of experience in Key Account Management, preferably in FMCG.
  • Excellent visionary, strategic, and strong leadership skills.
  • Proficient in analytical thinking.
  • Ability to drive innovation and brand growth.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a "can-do" attitude, applicable to business processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in French, English and Dutch.
