ABOUT OUR TECHNOLOGY


Our patented solution rely on a combination of quantitative phase imaging for label-free cell imaging and machine learning algorithms for cell identification.

Through state-of-the-art AI/ML pipelines, our algorithms have the ability to classify cells as dead or alive, and even beyond that : classify t-cells as activated or resting or Sf9 cells as transduced or not.

The use of a label-free technology enables recirculation of cells in the bioreactor and 24/7 monitoring. This reduces the risk of contamination and the need for operators to perform daily sampling operations.


Through process automation, our most advanced cell therapy projects involved creating feedback loops where media addition was driven by real-time cell growth.

Alternatively, gene therapy customers can use the insight provided to determine ideal time to transduce/transfect or the ideal time to harvest.


PAT has been a big movement in the industry, and we are willing to support our customers in their implementation of process automation.

Our instrument has been designed to reduce cost of manufacturing and quantification of morphological differences through emerging machine learning technologies is giving our solution an edge for the years to come.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR
Our company is in need of an ambitious Sales Manager to be part of a dynamic bioprocessing instrumentation company. Ideally, someone with background in instrumentation sales within the life science / biotech industry.

Foremost we are looking for someone who is comfortable working with a small organization, managing and growing customer accounts. Leads don't come as easy as large life-science companies, so we are looking for an individual with the ability to find creative way to generate traction and build a sales funnel more robust than

Gizeh's pyramid.


The machine learning algorithms used in our technology may not be new, but they have not yeat been widely adopted in the bioprocessing space.

Let alone for the morphological classification of cells in label-free images.


Part of your role as a sales & marketing manager will be to understand how the machine learning algorithms work for our market, shape the message and develop educational tools for widespread adoption.

It's a fascinating environment but it can be challenging too.


Given the fast-changing nature of the Ai and bioprocess industry, our products are continuously updated repositioned to better serve our market.

The sales manager should have sufficient bioprocess understanding to assist in product development and sufficient flexibility to adapt the sales & marketing strategy accordingly.


Close collaboration with the product development team, the AI platform project manager and the cell culture lab and customer support manager are envisaged.

The person may be required to travel 30% of the time and will report to the company's CEO.

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pursue new business opportunities and develop, optimize a wellbalanced sales strategy in the EU
  • Develop a marketing strategy for lead generation.
  • Develop the Cell & Gene Therapy and Vaccine Markets.
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with customers to ensure effective use of the company's products as well as drive post sale business.
  • Represent the business in a professional manner at external meetings and scientific conferences.
  • Work closely with customers to identify and interpret their needs for our products.
  • Demo the company's microscopes at customer sites to nurture sales pipelines and close sales.
  • Train and support customers after sales.
  • Use and maintaint CRM system, report monthly KPIs and be responsible for ensuring growth and development in assigned sales focus.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Education and experience

  • A Degree in biology, bioengineering, cell biology, immunology or similar disciplines.
  • Previous experience in a sales role in a relevant industry highly desirable
  • Knowledge and understanding of Life Sciences Instrumentation and Bioprocessing industries.

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and negotiation skills
  • Smart. Machine learning isn't easy and the role requires you to be able to understand how it works and explain it to customers.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once, switching between tasks as the priorities and goals change.
  • Risk taker and attracted by small companies / organizations
  • Familiarity with MS Office and various business software (e.g. ERP
