More informations : An Internship – Project Officer for the Africa Political Outlook (APO) should support the preparation and delivery of the APO Summit, year‑round activities, and related initiatives such as the Leadership Prize and Future Leaders Fellowship. The role combines project management, content and research support, and coordination with partners, speakers, and participants across Africa and Europe. Purpose: Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of the Africa Political Outlook 2026 summit and associated programs (Leadership Prize, Future Leaders Fellowship, partners outreach), contributing to APO’s mission as a strategic platform for Africa’s political and diplomatic emergence. Key Responsabilities Assist in overall project management for the APO 2026 Summit, including timelines, workplans, and task tracking for sessions on governance, economic emergence, AfCFTA, and green/digital transformation. Support the coordination of speakers, moderators, and high‑level participants (ministers, ambassadors, experts, business leaders), including invitations, briefings, and logistical follow‑up. Contribute to the preparation of program content: background notes, concept notes for panels, speaker bios Support partner relations: maintain partner database, draft emails and decks, assist in reporting on visibility and impact for sponsors and institutional partners. Contribute to communication and visibility: website and social media updates, newsletters, and media monitoring around APO events and publications. Provide logistical support for events in Brussels : venue coordination, registrations, participant lists, materials, and on‑site support during the summit. Assist with data collection and impact reporting (participants, countries represented, media coverage, outcomes of sessions, follow‑up actions). Profile & Skills Master’s student or recent graduate in political science, international relations, development studies, economics, public policy, or related field, with strong interest in African governance and EU–Africa relations. Demonstrated interest in Africa’s political, economic, and diplomatic dynamics: multilateralism, AfCFTA, climate and green economy, digital transformation, youth and gender, and diaspora engagement. Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to handle multiple workstreams in a fast‑paced, high‑level environment. Excellent writing and synthesis skills for policy‑oriented content (notes, briefs, event summaries) in at least one of English or French; working proficiency in the other language is a strong asset. Comfortable working with senior stakeholders (public officials, diplomats, business leaders) with tact and professionalism. Strong command of standard office and collaboration tools (Office/Google suite; experience with CRM, event platforms, or design tools is an advantage). Team spirit, proactivity, and alignment with APO’s vision of Africa as a rising geopolitical and economic power and a laboratory for new governance models. Practical Details Duration: 4 to 6 months covering the preparation and delivery period for the APO 2026 summit. Supervision: Reports to the APO Project Manager and works closely with the summit coordination and partnerships teams. Remuneration: Internship allowance in line with organizational policy and local regulations, plus potential support for transport during key APO events.
