Your team and your responsibilities:
**Team description**

The Legal and Compliance Team is a dynamic and internationally diverse team. It provides high quality advice to the management and the various business divisions of TME, as well as to its manufacturing and marketing affiliates in Europe. The team advises on a broad range of matters, including product liability, corporate law, IP and IT law, brand protection, competition law, contract law, GDPR, environmental law and regulatory matters.

The car industry is an exciting enviroment and is undergoing major changes related to a.o. connected cars, autonomous driving, fuel cells, electric and hybrid vehicles or mobility as a service. This requires first class legal support and offers attractive opportunities for dynamic lawyers.

**Your responsibilities**

We are looking for a Legal Counsel to support the following divisions/activities:

- Logistics divisions (vehicle logistics and parts logistics) which assure the supply of vehicles and parts to TME’s market, and which are responsible for logistics operations and for managing the commercial relationship with TME’s logistics partners. You will advise on various projects, and draft/review transport agreements and agreements for Regional Hubs (such as lease/concession agreements and service agreements).
- Workplace Experience Division, whose mission is to provide a functional, safe and enjoyable working space through a large variety of projects, ranging from renovation and maintenance of Toyota facilities across Europe, to the procurement of catering, security and other corporate services. You will advise on legal and strategic aspects of various projects. You will review and negotiate service (framework) agreements, maintenance agreements, agreements with architects and contractors, lease agreements, general terms and conditions etc.

You will work closely with the business, as well as suppliers, internal and external business partners and other third parties.

Finally, you will support various projects and business development activities together with the other members of the Legal and Compliance Team. You will report to a Manager of the Legal and Compliance Division.

The automotive business is a rapidly changing environment which requires flexibility, strategic thinking and an ability to act swiftly and decisively in complex situations.

Your Profile:

- You have a Masters degree in Belgian or similar law (German, French, Spanish, etc) and minimum 3 years of experience in an international law firm or as an in-house counsel in an international environment;
- You have excellent analytical and contract drafting and negotiation skills;
- You are solution oriented and have good business acumen;
- You are a team player and easily build good relationships with people across the organisation;
- You have the ability to comfortably operate in a consensus based work environment and you grasp and integrate multiple stakeholder interests;
- You are comfortable functioning in an international environment with colleagues from various backgrounds and regions;
- You are curious and interested in the business and operations of the sector;
- You have excellent knowledge of English (TME business language). French, Dutch or any other European language is an asset.
- Knowledge of transport law (in particular inland and maritime law) is an asset.
